So, interesting yet totally unintuitive fantasy scoring quirk:

1. If you play a WR and they fail to catch the punt? Fumble (despite the player never establishing control of the football, the Leon Lett rule applies)

2. In the above situation, the DST is *not* penalized for the fumble. (Whereas, say, the returner scores, the DST gets credit.)

Not that it would have changed my week, but interesting turns.

Had a very comfortable 13 point lead and stopped paying attention because my opponents only player left was DE Ezekial Ansah. When it comes to individual defensive players, defensive linemen and defensive backs are boom or bust, but mainly bust. So I just didn't worry at all about it. Then I realized he was the same guy who forced the fumble and recovered it(this is 8 points alone in my league). Now I'm sitting here with a 1.1 point lead and I'm terrified as hell that stat correction will cause me to lose because stat correction already gave me 3 points after the Sunday games. If at least two of those are taken back then I lose, or maybe my opponent gets one and I lose one I'd lose. Oh boy....

Holy hell, I won by less than two points after coming in today with an 18 point lead up against just Russel Wilson. Those two fumbles + Calvin Johnson blowing the game saved my ass. Third lowest scoring team of the week and beat out second lowest scoring team. This was my lowest scoring week by 30 points.

Lost in my ESPN league. I just needed seven points to win and had Calvin Johnson playing. I screamed with glee when Megatron was about to score. Then the fumble happened. Ended up losing by three points. So sad when Megatron can't even get seven points for the whole game. How the mighty have fallen.

I always draft 1 defense, but always struggle on what to do on byes. Sometimes there is clearly a player that I can cut loose, and maybe run with 2.

My Starting WRs are pretty set with OBJ, D Thomas and K Allen so maybe I can cut loose one of the Receivers. RBs are less set, Murray and Freeman starting, Woodhead, Lewis and CJ2K are all on the waiver wire so I was thinking of swapping Morris for Dion Lewis but haven't decided yet.

The two options I am leaning towards right now is a straight swap Carolina for NYG, and just play matchups for the rest of the year, or Bradys Bye is done and just drop Rivers and hope nothing terrible happens.

I always stream defenses since they are so matchup-dependent. The only time I'd keep a defense on a bye week is if I had an elite D that is matchup-immune. The only defense like that this season looks to be Denver.

I would also pick up Dion Lewis immediately. You could probably drop Martavis Bryant who isn't the first option on his team and has to be further downgraded with Big Ben out. You could also try to package a couple of your WRs for an upgrade at RB. Selling high on Freeman may also be a wise move. Your team is really deep at WR though and pretty thin at RB, so I'd definitely be looking to shore things up there.

As someone who got bitten by this exact line of action last year, allow me to caution you - Seattle's D seems to get better as the year progresses. Last year they were horrible the first 4 or 5 games or so, I dropped them, and then they went on a tear after that. That's not to say the same thing will happen again but they may require patience.

Im a giants fan and we are as stout against the run as any team so far this year which will force Kap to throw a lot of passes which has a good chance in resulting in at least a pick or two.

The rams seem to be figuring out their offense the past few weeks and Foles isnt very prone to throwing picks so the ceiling isnt as high for GB in this matchup.

and Ebron. Also 3rd lowest score and beat the 2nd lowest score this week in our league. 4-0 for me too!

Need a TE this week with Jordan Reed likely out and Heath Miller my only other option.

Highway robbery from a position scarcity perspective. Ivory has been the focal point of the offense and at the core, Jets are still a smashmouth pound the rock team. Ivory is a workhorse RB2 putting up RB1 numbers, and with Bilal Powell hurt he may see some receptions in the passing game now.

That was what I was thinking. Decker and Ivory were out in week 3 (the game they lost to the eagles). He runs hard like vintage Marshawn Lynch. Now I have Bell, Ivory and Dion Lewis was my backs in fantasy.

I'd say Cooper, Brown, Ellington and Hankerson, respectively. Cooper and Brown I feel like you gotta start out of principle. Brown has been disappointing thus far but can break out and Detroit sucks. Same reason you go with Ellington; I hear he probably could have gone last week and stayed out because CJ was doing fine. I don't know how Cooper will fare against Denver but I have to imagine it'll be better than Woodhead against Pit (I normally have Woodhead at FLEX but moved him out this week). Atlanta is playing Washington and our secondary blows bungholes and I'm sure Hanky wants some targets against his former team.

Tough. Probably Vereen. I was actually reading about him recently because one of my opponents has him; basically said he's a dart-throw, but that's still more positive than what is being said about Sims.

I wouldn't, Evans will soon start dominating. I think Graham is a bit overrated at Seattle, sort of how Demarco Murray was expected to dominate at Philly.

As an obsessive Giants fan, Vereen's value will come in games where the Giants are playing from behind or against teams that can't defend RBs in the pass game (terrible LBs, basically). Otherwise, in the course of a standard game where the Giants are ahead or the score is knotted up he's going to get occasional carries and a small number of targets but nothing intensive, so you're hoping he can pile up big yardage in limited opportunity. I would guess the LBs are the only thing left of SF that's not a trainwreck so I wouldn't start Vereen unless you had no other good option.
