How can people call that a great showing? There wasn't a single reveal that was "wow" game-wise. There was nothing that said to PS4/PC gamers that there are desirable games on the Xbox One.

I loved the BC and Elite controller announcement. Probably going to trade in my 360 sometime this summer. Just not much reason to keep it now.

I loved the tomb raider reveal. That's probably my most wanted game of the fall at this point. Wasn't blown away by the Halo 5 demo. Gears 4 demo was impossible to see and I don't like the character design. I recently played through all of the gears games, so my anticipation of the gears remaster is very low.

Don't care about holo lens or anything vr related. Just not my thing. Didn't care much for the Rare stuff.

One thing I like and I hope Sony picks up on.... not every announcement you make has to be the greatest thing to ever happen to gaming. It was a solid conference. Not great though.

Recore is literally the only thing that was interesting to me from the whole conference. Well, Gears 4 as well but that was known for some time. I don't really care about BC with 360 as 360 didn't have that much games on it I was interested in.

So I dunno, 5/10? Like, not bad but nothing exciting either. Pretty mediocre conference.

Started off strong and then the indie section hit and made me sleepy, and seeing The Division and Fallout, AGAIN, is where Crackdown and Scalebound would have been good.

Rare collection looks cool, but it looked like Conker was the N64 version instead of the Xbox version. Meh. And a pirate game from Rare? Eh, fuck off. Nobody has been wanting that.

Gears 4 was really underwhelming and I was expecting to be blown away graphically. Oh well. 6/10 conference for me right now. Need more time to digest.

Solid C+ for me. I'm still not interested in the one. Backwards compatibility is not a selling point for me, but I suppose it's a good option to have.

Halo looked like, well, Halo. Gears was refreshing, but it has passed its time. Forza was there too.

Microsoft needs a new trinity.

Knight Lore!?

But that's not a Rare game! It's an Ultimate game!

I'm curious what's actually in that lineup, and how exactly the licensing's worked out for the Nintendo titles (they hinted at the likes of Jet Force Gemini in the clusters of people, and that's a big deal for me!)

Well, that was certainly a Microsoft conference. Zero ambition, zero innovation, zero surprises, just more of the same each and every year. Fine if you like that sort of thing, but no reason to buy an XBox One if you're after anything out of the ordinary or with any semblance of individuality or soul.

+ Backwards compatibility and the nudge to 360 owners to move up was the obvious things I took away from the show. The Rare stuff also hoping to pull on that nostalgia factor - effective.

+ The Elite controller looks smooth, hopefully not too pricey.

-?! Hololens didn't need to be on an xbone stage, that was beyond Milo as far as misleading stuff goes. Windows 10 windows 10 windows 10, whatever, not interested in that talk and the confusing mixed messaging around where we were hearing about xbox and where we were hearing about win10 and where the two were spoken of together in a meaningful way. The whole VR thing only ended up even muddier than post-Oculus show - there can only be one real reason for this and it's not a positive move, it can't be, badly judged at best and purposefully misleading at worst. It's stuff like this that takes the shine off the good stuff.

At the end I was all set for a megaton, not a montage recap.

EDIT: And if that was the first I'd seen of The Division I'd have been impressed, so long after such a shiny reveal, however, not really feeling as hyped.

Lost a bit of steam after the fantastic start, but still, they showed lots of new features, new IPs, indie games and a decent amount of exclusives.

Great show overall.

8/10

Didn't like it. Rare collection and elite controller are the good stuff. Not excited for 360 games compatibility so its not for me. Gears of darkness felt like the tomb raider demo. Matter of fact a lot of walking simulators demos and cgi trailers in the conference 5/10

Not sure this was the "greatest lineup in Xbox History".

Nothing really major aside from the big games we already knew about, and Gears 4 left me underwhelmed, they only showed a quick trailer for Forza 6, Tomb Raider gameplay looked the same as the 2013 Tomb Raider.

Backwards compatibility doesn't interest me as if I wanted to play 360 games I'd have kept my 360. I don't buy new consoles to play old games.

The new controller, yeah even more fragmentation.

Just massively underwhelmed to be honest. Halo 5 gameplay looked quite good, not sure about the 4 player though, looks a little gimmicky

Definition of a good/solid conference.

Some good footage, good announcements, a couple of actual surprises (ReCore, Mods, and such), but nothing HUGE, and it did start to drag a bit at times.

Still, a good solid conference that Microsoft should be proud of.

-Cuphead was the best thing there
-BC was great
-Waaaaay too many CG trailers
-Division was downgraded
-Too many Multiplat games
-Gears showing was terrible
-TR looked boring (although Im pretty sure the actual game will be as good if not better than the first)
-Hololens looked nice but why show it? They said nothing else about it.
-Im pissed that I'll have to buy another controller from MS since that elite controller looks beautiful

Overall B-

I am also of the opinion that last year's conference was much better than this one.

Actually, this year, they were a bit flat, generally speaking. There were no big "what is going on/WHAT IS THIS GAME" hype moments. No megatons, no nothing. And the rare game looks very... average? It has this kinect game aesthetic despite not being a kinect game that really jars me. Props are due for being the second most colorful game on presentation though. (First prize goes to Beyond Eyes. I loved the look of that.)

I enjoyed the show. Even with the Hololens "smoke and mirrors".

More interested to see the options Forza 6 has to offer.

It looked fantastic! Jury is still out on dynamic or pre-baked lighting however.

Conference was solid. Could of done without the hololens stuff. Only dissapointed in Gears 4 and RotTR didnt realky wow me. All in all exciting stuff from here on out into 2016. I noticed they didnt push exvlusive content or dlc and cod was absent too.

Lots of awesome features but not enough games to back it up, imo. Mods in FO4 is pretty sick tho, I hope that the PS4 version gets similar treatment.

Decently solid showing but Larah Croft's face was a big WTF moment for me. Don't like it at all for who her character is supposed to be. Like a small frail flower child face on a character that is supposed to be a badass.

I don't have a XB1 but that was pretty good.

Maybe not so much on the exclusive games department (because that's "just" the usual 4 xbox brands plus let's-pretent-TR-is-one-of-them) but the backwards compatibility and early access stuff is pretty interesting stuff that I wish Sony would also manage to do.

F4 mods is also interesting to hear, although that's probably on PS4, too (no mention it's exclusive like for the free F3 360 version etc.) but might be not as straight forward due to Win10 integration?

It did nothing for me, but I didn't expect it to. The types of games MS emphasizes simply don't appeal to me. Hope Sony does more stuff I like, and Nintendo definitely will be great for me

So xbox one BC is limited to like 10% of the actual library? Or is it full BC?

The developers of each game have to release an update to the title for it to work. Supposedly they have "100s of games" by the end of 2015, but arguably, it might be limited based on the developer.

For instance, EA isn't likely to do updates for Madden '06 - Madden 15 360 version when they're releasing Madden 15+ on Xbox One. There's a couple games I really hope get ported, Mass Effect (confirmed by the image of it), Trials HD & Trials Evolution, NCAA Football '14 (the last college football game ever). Similar to with how EA Will do Madden, there's a lot of serialized games that probably won't be updated... Like, will Ubisoft do Assassins Creed IV When they released it already on 360 and X1...? Probably (and hopefully) not.

Is it me or is this conference full of good things that have been poorly executed? Slow Gears 4 demo, backwards compatibility that is limited to a select list like 360 so it will burn out, Tomb Raider launching against Fallout 4 with a "gameplay" demo that was almost entirely outside player control...

I wanted Crackdown, and that's not even happening today

Congrats MS awesome conference
Preview programme, mods, backwards compatible loads of awesome announcements
And if Sony don't get ea access on board their idiots
