2015 PC Screenshot Thread of the Only Place Where Compression Isn't

Btw, how's the TAA in Fallout 4?

Amazing. It obviously has the inevitable blur in motion, but it's not very noticeable and it has outstanding coverage. Probably the best post-process AA I've seen in any game.

Haha! Do you think it looks that great or are you mocking me? Thanks if you are not. :) I mean, I'm probably the only one here posting pics under 1080p (most here are super sampled, while mine are at 1440 x 900p with graphical settings not on full max, some effects off). Sometimes I feel I don't belong here, so it's nice to receive a compliment.
I'm using Reshade to add FXAA, a little bit of CA, some film grain, and a little bit of more contrast. I'm still tweaking it, but I can share my settings if you're interested.

Cheers!
I'm not mocking you at all. These are probably the only screens I've seen in this thread that actually look like they could be real.

Yes, I'd love the settings. I don't own Dirt Rally, but I've been contemplating getting it. I might have to now.

Said I was going to wait, but I caved and bought it. Just started playing, haven't left the vault, but some of the visual are amazing so far. Don't think I understand the disappointment with the graphics....

I am not of those who think FO4 is ugly ,but TW3 leaves it in the dust.

TW3 is pushing way more foliage, and the world is much more densely populated all while being actually more detailed in things like character models.

What CDPR did continues to amaze especially in light of other releases.

This is some really imaginative and meticulous screenshoting right here.

Well done especially with brightstone cove,an area I often found ugly.

So... why was there worry about the graphics again?

Artistically it looks good, it also have some nice textures and materials, but generally lighting sux. It looks good outside, but when You are inside almost no light cast shadows, which is worse than Skyrim, where most light sources cast shadows.

Their SSAO implementation also sux.

These pictures really look great, but other pictures in other threads showed a complete different scenario. It's like with Skyrim which could be made look amazing but in general gameplay it would leave a lot to be desired. Nevertheless, I'm pleasantly surprised with the screenshots here, bodes well for the future :)

It actually really annoys me. I hate the slight blur it gives. Not as bad as FXAA, but still not good enough for me to want to use it for gameplay.

Well now I'm starting to doubt if it's really good or not. Someone on the PC perf thread even thought the game had motionblur but actually it was just TAA blurring the image when looking around...

These should all be on the next page! Wonderful shots..really natural looking and great post processing.
Thanks :) Hehe the rush to the top of the page. I actually always look at all the shots, no matter where they are on the page, but perhaps I'm weird ;)

Skellige is such a nice place, it's hard to create bad shots there. Everywhere you go, things look amazing. I decided not to go by horse but solely on foot, as it seems you run into more things that way.

Some more shots from today's journey

I also found out what's missing when you enable freecam using F1 in TW3: the depth blur in the far distance... suddenly things become razorsharp and I thought it was something with AA, but it's the slight depth-based blur they have. It's not a DoF really, but similar. will see if I can butcher one of the Reshade shaders to re-create it, as it's a subtle effect which is often needed when you look at e.g. buildings in the distance.
