2016 Console Screenshot Thread (READ RULES IN OP)

Wow! Seeing these remind me of the initial reveal video. Remember that trailer? People thought "No way could this game look like that". It sure does.
If only those were gameplay shots ;)
I don't know how is it with others, but I can't see your pics, thought you should know as I can see other people's pics but not yours.
I see them just fine in both Firefox and Edge.

I think it's gameplay with the DC emblem enabled because the IQ is poor and LOD is worse on the 2nd bike.

Both of you are right, this photomode with the gameplay's IQ. And everybody can see that the game still remains impressive in gameplay condition IQ.

Edit : I mean the post processing bar is set to zero

Cool! Thanks, I really should pick up that game.

It's a great game if you want to cruise around the States and visit interesting places. There's more than 200 unique locations based (sometimes loosely) on the ones in real life. And there's of course plenty of racing too. :D

No I was wrong. Photomode boosts the LOD of vehicles and boosts the quality of reflections, shadows, motion blur, etc.

I'm not very impressed with Driveclub in actual gameplay outside of heavy rain to hide the poor MB and IQ. The volumetric clouds are pretty amazing though.

Edit: it the lack of motion blur means photomode.

I'm the first one to admit that DC could do with better AA and AF, but what's poor about the IQ or the LOD on the 2nd bike in that screenshot? Genuine question, because it looks perfectly fine to me, other than maybe the AF towards the edge of the road. Not as good as in photomode, sure, but poor? I can see some tiny, tiny jaggies if i look up close, but for a console game that's nothing. Maybe i just have lower standards, but i wish this was the baseline for the IQ during gameplay.

Net_Wrecker very nice shoot <3 a little bit aliasing but wow

guildo Thx ^^

#1 defender your photos are very nice ;)

Thanks! I'll keep working on my photomode skills. :)

Not entirely true, LOD boost for car doens't apply if you are the only car running on track, and when it applies, it does it only for interiors during external views.
And during gameplay motion AA is stronger and more efficient than stll AA. And I don't think the motion blur is poor.

For Dr Guildo, this is what I'm talking about. Driveclub gameplay PNGs.

MB has a very good quality for me. For the beauty of the scenery, it depends of the time setting bacause like in reality the set of time plays a great role in the greatness of your scene.
You don't need the rain at all to have jawdropping scenery. For my part my greatest jawdropping moment in the game wasn't during rain but clear sky in Putre.

I absolutely love racing at Autodromo Frontera. Like you said, for me, it creates some incredible looking moments, especially the fly-ins while loading.

I-game Motion Blur quality is the same than Photomode Motion blur quality, proof :

I clearly see no difference !

If you want to see the difference, the best way would be if you were to capture a per-object blur, like the diff between a traffic cone being hit and flying in front of the view. This same scene but In photomode and in gameplay... that would show how there is a lot more sampling in photomode.

DC uses like a progressive renderer in photomode, where it upsamples "anything" (SSR, DOF, MB, AA) over a period of time.

When I hit a traffic cone in first perso view, per object mb is clearly observable ! It always amazes me each time I do it...

I will do the test for the comparison.
