Not so bad, so far.

Physical games:
Broken Sword: The Sleeping Dragon (PS2) - 11 E
Broken Sword 5: The Serpent's Curse (PS4) - 17 E
The Yakuza: Remastered Collection (PS4) - 15 E

January - 0 E
February - 43 E

Total - 43 E

I'm going to need to change my vote, unable to find a RTX5090. knock a full 2grand off
Switch 2 on release date? Assuming they can be found. OR wait for the OLED upgraded version in 2029.

Bought a new PC already, my dream monitor, upgraded my wife's CPU, RAM, and motherboard, bought some random cheaper games on Steam, Quest, and Xbox, and bought an omnidirectional treadmill. I'm already past 5 grand, but I don't really intend to spend anything else on games this year other than tiny purchases here and there when stuff are on big discounts.

I don't really spend like this in general, this year is a big exception as we just finished a huge attic remodel. Next year I probably won't even spend a grand.

I cracked and bought Fantasian for the Switch. They put it on sale and the physical copies are only sold through Amazon, and I am about to finish Star Ocean 2 Remake and was trying to figure out what to play on Switch next.

So $40 for the year so far.

Sooner or later my PS plus runs out. So I'll have to renew it. But apart from that I won't spend any money, because I don't have any lol.

And I own a huge backlog and I'd like to get rid of at least 30 games from my backlog this year.

February spending so far:

Ender Magnolia Bloom In The Mist (PS5) - €50 - Imported copy from Asia

Star Wars Outlaws (PS5 - Physical Version) - €20

Normally I keep spending till I see shitty games especially the ones the internet praise it as if it's perfect for every human being, I stop there and play f2p to cope from the bad choices I made.

Little update.
Physical games:

Broken Sword: The Sleeping Dragon (PS2) - 11E
Broken Sword 5: The Serpent's Curse (PS4) - 17E
The Yakuza: Remastered Collection (PS4) - 15E
Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney Trilogy (NS) - 40E

January - 0E
February - 43E
March - 40E

Total - 83E

Stumbled upon the Dead Island 2 demo on the PlayStation store. Have been interested in buying the game for some time and didn't know it had a demo.

Gave it a shot and really enjoyed it. Decided to grab the physical Ultimate Edition for $40 new on Amazon.

At this rate I'm going to go over my guess in no time :messenger_grinning_sweat:

Well it will be MUCH less this year as I spent well over 3 Grand last year thanks to a PS5 Pro and my first gaming PC plus a bunch of games on Steam sales mostly.

This year no hardware except a few controllers. Will be paying for Game Pass Ultimate plus some PS5 games and Steam games.

Right now I'm gonna guess around $1000 for this year but we will see...

So far for 2025 : $67

$40 for Game Pass Ultimate

$27 for Tomb Raider 4-6 Remasters
Updated total as of March: $140

Game total = $80
Tomb Raider 4-6 Remaster
Prince of Persia Lost Crown
Door Kickers 2
Supreme Commander 2

Game Pass Ultimate = $60

Around $750 -$1000 with games this year, for now. I'm going through some of my backlog or buying games on sale for this year. I could bump that up to $1000 - $1500 depending on future announcements or if I buy some other peripherals.

Probably just the Steam version of Stellar Blade assuming my PC would run it so 1 to 100 cause prices are already crazy and the tariff just stops me from even thinking about getting a new PC. So just going to continue using my 8 year old + pc for modded bethesda games and some old emulator games from time to time plus watch movies online and other random youtube vids. No consoles either until the Switch 2 gets more games out that I like cause not enough for me at the moment even without the tariff crap. Same for computer parts, even without the tariff, the prices to performance ratio still aren't good enough.

Mid-April update:

Nintendo Switch 2 (pre-order) - €440

My prediction I will spend $1000-$1500 this year. Switch 2 is expensive lol. This year I want to buy less games and finish games in my backlog but like always I will fail.

Wo Long Season Pass - £11.99
Resident Evil 3 Remake £5.99

I've bought a fair few titles this month, but none of them are expensive. Bought Planet Coaster five minutes ago and it's currently downloading on Steam. Haven't played a game of this type since Theme Park on the Megadrive! I'm definitely done for April. Yes. Maybe.

May
The Settlers 7 - £4.99
Song of Farca - £1.67
Crow Country - £11.72
Blades of Fire - £46.99
Kingdoms of Amalur - £6

I've spent more money than I would have liked this year. Especially considering I haven't beat a single game that I've bought in 2025. I need to stop buying games that I'm only vaguely interested in.

I only buy stuff on Steam Sales. Below 100$ nets me a lot of games.
Only game I am looking forward to is Death Stranding 2 which I can't play for an year.

So I've spent $655.95 on psn this year and $598 on Switch 2 Mario kart bundle. Id have to go back and look at my library to figure out all the games I bought

I count it as around $3500 so far.

It's a hardware heavy year for me, what with the new monitor and a Switch 2.

It's also very frontloaded. I've already pre-ordered most of what I want to get this year. I predict i'll spend about $300 for the rest of the year to get some other games.

My new Nendoroid and figma addiction isn't helping...

Damn man, some of you spend out big time!

Ive only bought 3 months of Gamepass from CDKeys - £30 and Stray for £14.99 (PS5 store).

Considering getting a few more games from there - Turok Trilogy, Quake 1 & 2 bundle, Nobody wants to Die and Thank Goodness you're here - total would be £35- £40 roughly.

Oh, and maybe a new controller too.

I'm on a mission to pay off a bunch of debt before it starts accruing interest at the end of the year, but in order to accomplish this frankly aggressive goal, the budget is tight. If I can stick that landing, I'm debt free. So I've made myself use past gaming investments and play cheap games/backlogs in anticipation of getting hit by Switch 2. I still have numerous free Epic games I haven't even tried yet like Death Stranding 1 so I don't really have an excuse to go crazy. I have been tempted by some actual money games though like DB Sparking Zero, the only one that made it through my defenses is Ex 33.

With Switch 2 my spend so far will only be about 600. I suspect it will top out at $1k by the end of the year not including gifts (xmas is coming). I can see myself spending close to the same amount next year, but with my goal completed and no expensive hardware cutting into the budget, 2026 should just be breezy new game land. Since they hardly go on sale anyway, Nintendo is poised to take some business from me with new releases if they bring the games next year. IF.

I bought a Switch 2 MK bundle. But I haven't bought many games. I will get the new DK game, and I am sure a couple other Nintendo games. I am not sure what big PS5 games are coming, but they haven't put out anything in a while that interested me. I did get FF7 Remake and Spidey 2. Xbox I have the Gamepass subscription.

Total through May = $200

Tomb Raider 4-6 Remaster
