OK, so I'm still looking at one as a primary (secondary when those NEDs are finally released) display for next gen consoles as well as a computer monitor...

but I'm finding all the monitors are 16:10 ratio, instead of 16:9 per 1080p spec...

My question then would be, are these monitors able to display a 1080p source at a 1:1 pixel ratio? or would these displays stretch that image?
Moreover, do the DVI on these monitors have DRM, for HDMI compatibility? how would I check?

I'd think the image stretching would depend on the firmware, but most I believe would give you the choice to display it with letterboxing.

As for the DRM, for now, no one knows for 100% AFAIK.

pc monitors are usually 16:10... (1280x768 vs 1280x720, 1920x1200 vs 1920x1080) so you will probably get some black bars but yes 1:1 is possible. for my dell you can choose whether you want aspect or stretched etc
