FOX really needs to put American Idol before 24. That nanny shit was awful.

Makes 24 that much sweeter.

Any episode with jack offing people in the first 5 minutes is going to be awesome.

Alright, this has gone beyond all levels of plausability, but holy shit if this isn't one of the best episodes ever so far.

This episode is totally rocking awesome.

Audrey's playing matchmaker and they both still totally want each other.

This episode is kicking ass so far.

Anyone got any clues as to the guy earlier in the episode
with the military uniform? I think someone speculated that there was going to be something with Airforce One.. Think this has anything to do with that?

glad GA is back up

Should have listened to Tony!!!

You know the missus and I were talking... we find it interesting that two muslims who've both been very speechy own a gun shop.... we think it's very possible that the nationality of these characters could have been changed somewhere along the way. Not that I have a problem with that... it's just the speechiness of the characters is a bit funny.

EDIT:

:lol Howard Stern did a funny bit using Bauer's voice this morning....

Holy shit, this is awesome so far.

That brief one second shot through the merc's nightvision scope was also a great touch.

That knife to the back of the head may very well be the best Jack action moment ever.

Indeed.... and now we see what the main target is... wow.... So that means the series has only had what... one breather episode so far? Wow.

Anybody see the commercial for TAG... :lol

Anybody else thinking "You know, I'm generally against the idea of a man punching his ex-wife in the face, but..." for most of that episode?

No? Just me? Okay. Fine, be that way.

Holy shit what a great fucking episode. Lots of action / killing is what 24's all about! And just when you think Jack couldn't get more hardcore, he knifes the guy in th back of the neck. BADASS!

And sucks to what happened
to Paul, I was starting to like the guy. Audrey had her during the show, wait until next episode when she finds out what happened. She's definitely going to dump Jack's ass now. :lol

At first? Yea, but once it became painfully obvious she still loves him, I was back on board.

I'm so happy, my favorite television couple is back! In theory, at least. With the way this season's going, she probably got married to the Air Force traitor guy.

But that doesn't matter now, because it hasn't happened yet. So for now, they're back together and I'm happy. Whee!

For some reason, I had the feeling that something like the following was going to take place:

-CTU agents clear the room
-the storeowners stand up
-one of the CTU agents think they're terrorists and shoots them too
-Jack: "Damn!"

Ah well, I'm probably the only one.

See, I knew we'd get a moment like this way back when some people were bitching about the Evil Terrorist Family. 24 always balances things out. If they have a stereotypical evil Muslim family, they'll also have good arabs who want to help Jack.

That's why I thought the protesting was stupid, because anybody who watches 24 would know that they'd show arabs in a positive light as well.

I shouldn't be laughing but :lol

That's not cool :/

I thought the exact opposite. That the muslim guys would shoot the CTU agents thinking they were more of the commando guys.

I remember Tony pointing out that chopper can hold 20 men, but how many did Jack, Paul and the brothers take out, anyway?

Commandowned!

I was thinking the same thing....in fact when he handed over the "encrypted data", I thought for sure it was a hostile fooling them.

Also, you just know in real life that the encrypted characters would come out as the little boxes you get when something doesn't print right.

Yeah, I kinda had that in my mind too, but then the more inappropriately humorous outcome came into my mind. :D

At least while they were outside, it seemed like a lot of the so-called mercenaries weren't following their training very well. They were like BF1942 pubbies, breaking cover and running straight at a target with guns blazing and ignoring anything coming back at them.

You guys are terrible. :lol

For some reason, I really don't care too much about Paul. Maybe I do a little bit. I guess all the dying has been wearing on me. I cared more about people in past seasons. I guess it's just because they were on the show longer. Like if Tony or Michelle got shot or died, I'd be pissed.

What a f'n great episode killing more killing and a few kills after that. Jack in kick ass mode is a joy to watch. Jack pulling off the sneak knife attack was incredible. This season has now had 2 of the best action sequences I have seen on TV. The only way to top this would be for jack, tony and the secratary of offense to storm a terrorist camp. Damn it I can't wait for 24 next week atleast Ill get to see vic kick some scumbags ass on the shield tommarrow.

Really? I wanted Paul dead in the beginning but I've grown attached to him. I also feel the same way about Tony now and I thought he was a bitch for doing what he did last season. I guess working with Jack on the field makes me like the other characters more (except for that loser bitch from the first few episodes who handcuffed jack.) I want Michelle to die… In fact I want everyone at CTU dead except Tony, Curtis, and Audrey.

Speaking of the people at CTU...
They should really make a requirement of employment at CTU that you have absolutely no previous attachments to anybody at all, nor that you form any during your employment, even if they're your coworkers. Was that Edgar's family getting hostaged in the preview?

It keeps getting better and better...

- Paul will survive, and he'll make Jack his bitch when he gets back to CTU and Audrey's all over him.

- I thought Tony and Michelle would jump each others bones right there

- I also thought that those Muslim kids would've taken out a friendly

Okay, as to what I think'll happen with the pilot:

Everyone knows that a plane is at its most vulnerable when landing or taking off. This guys gonna ram Air Force One head on.

BUT

Heller offering the President a suggestion to stay in the skies for another hour strikes me as odd. If Heller hadn't suggested this, wouldn't the Pres be landing any minute, as opposed to in another hour. Wouldn't he be landing while the traitor is still at home putting on his pilot's uniform?

Well, if an EMP had just gone off in town, bringing down all the electronics in a huge area (including aircraft, although they're probably not worried about that since there was only one bomb) and causing mass looting and chaos, maybe he just feels the whole town is a bit too insecure for the moment for the president to be on the ground. An hour probably isn't long enough for things to calm down though, and I'm sure the area's law enforcement will probably still be distracted by then. You might be onto something.
