As for him playing a bumbling idiot, he's been an idiot since Season 4. Lets see, he's in a secret and risky plot to provide terrorists with nerve gas, the terrorists kill Americans, find out about his plan to backstab them, and then threaten to detonate the nerve gas on his soil. Maybe he's just genuinely nervous?

then why didn't henderson help jack? he works for logan and he actually helped the terrorist release the gas on us soil - he was involved with stinger getting that information on the natural gas facility and even told her what to do if she gets caught. doesn't look like logan cares if hundreds of thousands die of nerve gas. guess it was all... an act or something. =\

And about Tony, they originally were going to kill him with Michelle, but then decided to do that whole retarded scene because they felt it showed the difference between him and Jack like Spike said. I agree he should've just died in the first episode.

I don't think we know what Logan's true motive is yet. I seriously doubt that what Walt and Nathanson were trying to accomplish have anything to do with what Logan wants.

Oh come on. He knows he's talking to Henderson, the phone call at the end of the episode confirms this. Logan in a few episodes before this one referred to him as "this Henderson guy," as if he's never heard of him before; remember when Novick told him about what CTU was doing to find him?

I wonder how this is all going to play out, the first lady is totally out of the loop. It seems Cummings didn't know about the President involvment. Also Hobbit being drilled by Logan always seemed strange to me, comes off as actions of a man with a guilty conscience.

Well, at least this probably fills one MAJOR plothole: how the hell Henderson got out of CTU in tip top shape after his nervous system "shutting down." The guy who was supposedly drugging him was probably in on it somehow, since Henderson is tied to the government through Logan. I mean I know he's supposed to be a bad ass and Baeur did come back from the dead, but it still seemed like that happened way too easy.

So what you're saying is the drugs he was given were bogus and Tony is really still alive, albeit in a "heavy coma" that gives the appearance of death and he'll be waking up soon to help Jack save the day?!

OG: Of course Cummings didn't. It's obvious that Logan wants to indirectly control the actions of everyone in on it; if he revealed his true intent, things would get more political. Not to mention, it's another layer of protection for him. Logan wants to stay in charge... of both the country and this. What an evil bastard.

This also might explain why Logan didn't want Jack to dissapear...to keep tabs on him while he figured out what to do. I'm not sure he really wanted Jack to save the day. Didn't Henderson sell the schematics to that russian chick, who then turned them over to the terrorists? That makes it seem like they wanted the attack to succeed.

The only thing I'm not quite clear on is how the asian chick was allowed to live. If they knew she had this information, why didn't Logan get rid of her earlier? Then again, I guess they needed to squeeze out her "evidence," and thats why he had Hendersin kidnap the daughter. Hopefully they make it clear that she was kidnapped recently (last couple of hours) and that this wasn't over her head all day.

One other thing. President looked genuinely surprised when he heard from the vp that Wayne Palmer had shown up. But Henderson knew that he had arrived when he called the chick...way before the Vice President alerted Logan about Wayne. Maybe he's got some other people in the office working with him

I think China already knows Jack is still alive. They have the resources to find this stuff out. Remember in the last season, when CTU sent the members of the 'raid team, on the embassy' out of the city for their own safety? The Chinese easily found one of them within hours and made him talk.

They know he's alive.

Fuck. Time to buy the 1-4 on R1 although I prefer all the UK boxart to the US boxart. :S The US sets are more expensive as well, first time I've known that to be the case in a while.
