24: Live Another Day. Hype thread.

Every episode is real-time, but hours will be skipped. It avoids situations like... Jack goes to Mexico, and they have to find something else to focus on while he's in the air, etc. Jack can get on a plane at the end of 10am-11am and then the show can pick back up at 2pm if it needs to.

I'm still trying to imagine how they're going to pull this off without it seeming really odd, for 24 at least.

They can hopefully spread it out a bit better than that.

Then I bet that the first 6 episodes will be on London and then the setting will change to the USA.

A flight from London to LA is about 10-12 hours AFAIK

Nope. Not happening.

It's been stated the entire season is in London. Why would you want Bauer back in USA anyway? Let him fuck shit up here in the UK for one season.

Apparently the series begins at 11:00am now and not 12. Weird last minute change.

I can't see it going to USA, but in one interview Sutherland brought up an example of Jack flying to Germany, so I could see that happening. Maybe the changed the start time because they want it ending at 12:00 Central Europe time?? ( I realise each season started at a different local time tho)

I think Bauer ending up in various areas of the UK is achievable, as is anywhere in Europe.

But that example Kiefer gave was just an example.

So... how many of you are going to cheer (or join) Bauer when he will say "Damn it!" for the first time?

you're doing it wrong:

“Dammit” Drinking Game

- Drink once whenever Jack says “dammit”.
- Drink twice whenever anyone else says “dammit”.

hahaha. what.

That member of CTU who jack drugged in S2 when transporting Nina to the plane was later seen in S3 as a member of Michelle's team in the chandler plaza hotel. He was not seen leaving the hotel with michelle, so we can only assume he died. Right?

I've just seen him in a S4 episode driving Curtis somewhere. I guess he survived.

24 suffers from continuity errors.

Like when Detective Norris from S3 became General Juma in S7

Re-watching S4 right now. Logan has just showed up for the first time.

I don't think anyone could have ever guessed that this guy

would turn into 24's greatest ever villain.

Also, S4 is much better than I remember. I mean, all of these guys appear in the same episode:

- Jack Bauer
- Tony Almeida
- David Palmer
- Chloe Obrien
- Aaron Pierce
- Mandy
- Charles Logan
- Michelle Dessler
- Bill Buchanan
- Mike Novick
- Curtis Manning

I mean just look at that fucking list. that never happened before or since (apart from S5 episode 1 lol). best lineup ever.

Yep. It's amazing. I think one of the problems with Series 6 is actually down to one of the things that made Series 5 so amazing - they gutted so much of their potential cast, or changed them irreparably, that Series 6 had less to rest on. A large part of what makes Series 5 so amazing is groundwork laid in Series 4.

I bailed on 24 a few episodes into season 6. I saw it's all up on prime instant video so I figured I would jump in and watch a bit before the new season. I'm not sure I want to watch all of what I missed, so would season 7 or season 8 be a better point to return to the show? Or would it really be best to finish season 6 as well?

Fuck season 6. 7 is amazing. S8 is average until ep 16 or so then it turns into Bauer vs Logan Round 2 aka the greatest run of episodes ever

One of the terrorist goons from season 2 was also a terrorist in season 4.

I think it's funny how Jack is the one who says it the most, but other characters both good and evil chime in with a damn it now and then. I put it down to the limitation of network tv and not being able to drop s or f bombs.

I also think its humorous how most characters say "what are you talking about" which leads to whichever character they ask the question to re-explain the current plotline that is being followed.

Yeah me too, I just finished S04. I laughed so hard when Mike Novick heard the conversation between the assistant of Logan and the secret service guy who must arrest/kill Jack Bauer. I immediatly thought of the gif in this thread lol

Now I began S05 and it's off to a good start. I forgot how great were S4 & S5. Can't wait to finish this marathon, especiallay for the round 2 between Jack & Logan.

It's funny how Logan in S6 actually looked like he wanted to be a good guy again.

But then, most fans act like S6 never existed, so... :p

Holy fuck. Guys, I've just found one of the greatest deleted scenes of all time. It's from S4. A few audio clips were missing and such, but I pieced it back together as best as I could. It gives a bit more insight on what happened between Logan and Palmer.

should I do a whole mini-episode?
