IGN reviews Lumines -

PRESENTATION
Tetsuya Mizuguchi is known for putting together as much an experience as a game, and Lumines is no less the whole deal for being a launch game on Sony's new handheld.
9

GRAPHICS
The shape and the sound of puzzle gaming is rarely the focus, but Q Entertainment fused the external design to the gaming experience here with great care.
7.5

SOUND
Even for those who have no desire to dance to this music, the selection of tracks and the variety of music is mondo engrossing.
9

GAMEPLAY
A brand new concept in puzzle gaming, Lumines is an earnest addiction that's elegantly simple and disarmingly challenging.
9

LASTING APPEAL
A few missing options hurt the appeal of playing it too often, but it's a very diggable puzzle game that you can pick back up years from now and enjoy.

Not only that, but we did the exact same thing for DS. People here love them reviews, as do I. Another great score for Lumines, keep em' comin' baby.

They did? It's kind of retarded though. I mean we got a lumines score. And two shitty gamepro scores no one cares about. And that's enough to warrant a new thread? @_@

WTF? IGN gives a lower score to a game than Gamespot? My GAF-induced reality...its crumbling...

Again, your scroll bar has as much power as your mouse button. Steer clear of my threads if you think them unworthy.

Pfft.

Yup, I did the official DS thread so I remember the individual threads for Super Mario 64 DS and Feel the Magic and all that jazz. It comes with the territory. And we have two Lumines reviews, Gamespot and IGN. I would have preferred them be in the same thread, but we can't help when they get released :P

As for the Gamepro scores... well... at least they're in the same thread :P

Erm...how did the graphics get a 7.5? What more could have been added without interfering with the game itself. I think the crisp bright graphics make the game great.

Again, what do they want? Great music. Music that you interact with. One of the best music experiences I've encountered in a game.

I want to stab someone for the line "mondo engrossing."

I find IGN's 7.5 rating on Lumines' graphics questionable since it accomplishes exactly what it sets out to do. But that's just my way of scoring visuals I guess.

I thought you had posted this twice in the thread, and then I noticed the edit. I'm watching you, tricksy.
