We found some mediocrity, but none of the crap that usually comes with launches. Still no Azuriks, Universal Studios Theme Parks, or Kabuki Warriors.
Hindsight is 20/20, so why did you bump this thread?
I would nominate the Activision/Neversoft shovelware (Tony Hawk, GUN) as the crap games of this launch. I haven't seen Amped but I bet that will also qualify (to be fair, I've only played the first one and thought it was utter shit).
C'mon, those ports are the worst kind. I'd liken them to "Test Drive 6 for the Dreamcast" levels of mediocrity - just as TD6 was simply the PS1 version in hi-res, so too are these games just the PS2 versions in hi-res. They would be completely pointless if the Xbox 1 versions ran on the Xbox 360!
There are only two new games in the entire lineup (Condemned, Kameo) off the top of my head, and a lot of the games are multiplatform (EA Sports, 2K Sports) - the 2K Sports games, as I understand it, only received graphical updates, and play exactly the same as the existing current gen versions!
There really isn't a lot that's "something you can only experience on Xbox 360" at launch, aside from the pretty graphics. Which, although understandable, is rather disappointing...especially since system launches are usually when publishers like to roll out new IP and build franchises...
Note: It's not like I hate the Xbox 360. I'm definitely getting one at launch because I'm crazy like that, but this is definitely not the "greatest launch ever."
