I would agree, if there weren't already 7 demos. That's 210 plays on the first day! It looks like there will be more than enough content to accommodate the deprived kids.

The best feature I've heard yet!
Just finished the demo. The depth effect was very nice and while visually some of the textures and whatnot look a bit too blurry, overall it doesn't look ugly either. What worried me though was the controls, and as I expected... they are kinda bad. That is, the camera controls. You just have to keep pressing L all the time to center the enemy on the camera which can get a bit tiring.
Otherwise.. it's Monster Hunter. If you liked earlier titles, you will enjoy this one. I personally am not the biggest fan, so this is it for me
That reminds me... did that accessory come out yet? You know the one. With the second analog stick. I haven't kept track of that at all.
Edit: @Michan: Yeah you're right of course. By the time they're done with those there will be other demos on there.
It applies to the MH3G demo and the Love Plus demo. Someone will have to download the other demos up on the eShop to see whether they have it too.

Eshop lets you add the exact amount of a purchase now instead of just being in certain increments. Neat.
True also now the number of ratings is displayed next to the number of stars withou having to click on the actual software page. Overall it seems like a collection of subtle changes.
Having kids play stuff like Cooking Mama, Oshare Audition or Hana to Ikimono... would be even worse if you ask me. Out of the 7 demos, I'd say only the MH3G and Dead or Alive are worth the long downloading wait

important question: The announced messaging app is a normal app/3DS-ware, right?
this means you have to stop the currently open software to use it, right? now that would suck because i.e.: when u play MK7 and you see(via the orange LED)that a friend goes online, you will have to end MK7 first to actualy open the message-app to contact him. Only browser, notes and friendlist can be used at the same time without ending a 3DS game.

Where are the new puzzle panels and Find Mii 2?
You have to beat Find Mii 1 twice to get Find Mii 2 I believe. I have no idea about the puzzles. I've basically not touched any of those things in the Mii Plaza since I bought the 3DS.
Edit: @PunchyBoy: It's avi container with two mjpeg streams if I read correctly.
Cool, here's another small change: in the retail games section on each game icon, instead of saying "available at retail" in grey letters like it use to, now it says "unavailable on nintendo eshop" in red letters. Maybe people were getting confused before.

You need to have completed Find Mii 1 to unlock Find Mii 2. And the puzzle panels are where they always were.

Beaten Mii 1 months ago. Just asks me to reset it.
Puzzle panels are all complete (again, months ago), no new ones.

Did you also not get the Mii Plaza Music Player and Map that others are talking about? Because I didn't get those things. I haven't beaten Find Mii 1 yet, and I didn't notice any new puzzles either. Maybe it's related!

Got the map and music player yep, nothing else though. BUT, it did tell me there are new puzzle pieces, they just haven't shown up. :/

I didn't have new puzzle directly after the update but after few minutes after exiting the plaza I got a spot pass with a new puzzle piece

Yeah, you need to exit the Plaza and then go back in for it to kick in.

Is yours an NA 3ds? Maybe different regions made different design choices. I wish it was still grey, the red is distracting. And boy the eshop boots up really fast now!

to unlock find mii 2 you have to unlock all the original hats in find mii 1.
edit: you guys should really read the last few pages (staring at page 10) because they'll have all the answers to your questions.
It has to contain mjpeg codec streams though, so you can't just grab any random avi and put it on there. You'll have to convert it to that format first. As well as making sure the resolution and framerate matches. The framerate seems to be 20fps.

Not from the home screen or Menu -> Add Funds, but when trying to make a purchase with an insufficent amount in your wallet and going Add Funds from there. There's an option in the bottom right called "Required Amount Only".

I haven't really been following, but can't you set up a virtual d-pad on the touch screen to handle camera control?
Bollocks, getting street pass hits is almost impossible for me.

I'm sure (if it's really normal coded avi) the free xmedia recode decoder will soon have an update for converting movies into 3DS video-format. They are really fast with updates normaly.
