Man I only have like three achievements =/
And I've only streetpassed two dudes, one of them being my friend... In cases like this I wish I lived in Japan. I can imagine it being pretty much impossible NOT to streetpass someone by walking through central Tokyo these days.

Edit: And yeah, also the fact that the Japanese eShop seems to FUCKING RULE HOLY SHIT compared to the European one. 7 demos already?!

I updated the system but I have no Nintendo Zone icon on the main menu (I'm in Italy). Strange :/

Everything else (new puzzles, Mii adventures, Video, QR codes) is ok/great :)

I didn't get it either. It seems it's only in the US so far. And maybe Japan, i dunno.

Very pleased that 3DS transfer moves EVERYTHING across. The only thing it doesn't do is SD card photos and so on, so I just switched the cards after the transfer was complete.

Japanese store seems exactly the same aside from the demos section. Product pages with demos now have a demo icon to the opposite side of the video icon. You can close the 3DS and things will continue to download, as described.

No Nintendo Zone icon on the UK 3DS home menu.

Oh wow.. either Nintendo being Nintendo, or Capcom being Crapcom. Either way...

The Monster Hunter 3G Demo has a 30 PLAYS LIMIT. That is, you can only play it 30 times (though if the controls are as bad as I'm expecting to be, I will only play it once...)

On the Japanese 3DS e-Shop there are a few demos already for:

- Monster Hunter Tri G
- Puyopuyo 20th Anniversary
- Cooking Mama 4
- Shin-chan whatever...
- Oshare Audition 2 (crap stuff)
- Hana to Ikimono rittaizuukan
- Dead or Alive Dimensions

I'm downloading the MH3G demo now. It requires 1356 blocks...

That's a nice selection, but it's weird there's no 1st party stuff at all.

This was announced a while back. It applies to all demos.

lol worse than i expected. wonder if the other demos are like that.

How do i get to Finde Mii2? somehow its only the same one as before when I start it :(

Just saw the spot pass notice, you have to unlock every hat in the original Street Pass first. *sigh* time to take my 3DS back on the road with me!

Seriously though, whop plays a demo more than 30 times?

Yeah there was a topic here a couple of days ago about Capcom demos only being playable 30 times. I don't think it's that bad though. I mean, how many times have you played a demo more than 30 times anyway? As I said in that thread, maybe that was something you did when you were a kid if you had parents who never bought you video games as was the case with me. I guess it sucks for those kids though.. =/

Looking over the eShop manual, you can queue up to 10 things to be downloaded via SpotPass at a time, and it will begin downloading the next time you put your system into sleep mode with no software running. Partial downloads will have a blinking present icon. Unfortunately, it specifically says that the SpotPass light will not turn blue when your downloads are finished, so you'll just have to check back later to see if it's done yet.

Huh. That's a weird omission. Seems like it wouldn't be that hard to program. I guess it has something to do with the way downloads work fundamentally that has to be changed, but still.

there would be no point of a limit if there weren't people who re-play demos a bunch.

It makes sense. "You've played this demo 30 times now. Surely that means you must like it enough to buy it?"

I don't think I've ever played a demo that many times. Try before you buy, but don't abuse.

Yeah it kind of boggles the mind. Maybe they didn't even think about it and then the guy writing the manual realized people would expect it.

Really awesome update! Lots of stuff to do especially with Find Mii II which requires new strategy to beat. Feels weird having accomplishments though...

anyway, how do we get the pink panels in Puzzleswap?

but that's not abusing. demos give a time limit in game or a small section, but they shouldn't limit you. you should be free to play them as much as you want.

and i say this as someone who doesn't even bother with demos anymore.

Lol one very small change to the eshop: the ratings icon and the video icon have swapped places on the left and right of the software info icon.

From what I understood you can only get the pink panels through the new SpotPass feature of the Mii Plaza. But I don't know exactly how either.

If you like something enough to play it 30 times, pay the developer. It's not like this is unprecedented.

Did anyone check out the Crayon Shin-chan and the nature software demos? Do they have even stricter play limits or am I reading it wrong?

You have to agree though that it sucks for kids who don't have money but still want to be able to play something on their 3DS without limits. I know I was one of those kids during the 90s, waiting for the new PC magazine to come out with some new demos to play. And my friends did the same with the PS1 magazines and whatnot. But yeah for an adult I definitely agree with your sentiment.

Just finished the demo. The depth effect was very nice and while visually some of the textures and whatnot look a bit too blurry, overall it doesn't look ugly either. What worried me though was the controls, and as I expected... they are kinda bad. That is, the camera controls. You just have to keep pressing L all the time to center the enemy on the camera which can get a bit tiring.

Otherwise.. it's Monster Hunter. If you liked earlier titles, you will enjoy this one. I personally am not the biggest fan, so this is it for me :P
