Well according to this, McDonalds and Starbucks for sure are the spots... as well as Best Buy's and AT&T Retail outlets for some reason
I have no globe in streetpass((
You have to StreetPass them, I believe. You can't buy them with coins.
Seems like I misremembered and it's actually SpotPass....then how does the person you're streetpassing them *from* get them?
So, what's the deal with these pink puzzle pieces?
I have no globe in streetpass((
I think you can only get them from other people.
But how do THEY get them? It's a paradox.

was playing mario 3dland and there was a ton of presents/gifts and shit from people in there. madness.
From what people? People you've Streetpassed, or people you've been online with?
What version should my 3ds be after this update? haven't touch mine in a long time.
Mine is 3.0.0-5E
I'm in the UK, if that matters.
So according to a notification I got this morning from NoE, the friend invite/join feature has been available since 2.2.0-0E. Weird.

3DS Circle Pad battery life revealed - AAAmazing.
http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2011-12-08-3ds-circle-pad-battery-life-revealed
"Nintendo's much-derided 3DS Circle Pad Pro accessory has a beefy battery life of 480 hours, according to the device's manual (posted online by Andriasang).
That's about 100 times longer than the console itself.
The 3DS Circle Pad add-on bestows a second analogue slider and extra shoulder buttons on the handheld. It requires a single AAA battery to run.
Having 480 hours of battery life should placate gamers concerned at the need to use a screwdriver to access the device's battery compartment.
The 3DS Circle Pad Pro is available in Japan this weekend with Monster Hunter Tri G and launches on 27th January in Europe alongside Resident Evil: Revelations."
It is unbelievably long. 480 hours !
If you play for 3 hours a day, it is 22.5 days battery life.

No it's not, it's for the 3DS system update that came this month.... but this thread is for December 3DS news. I didn't really think the battery life of an add on was thread worthy.
So... you guys tihnk we're getting some demos on eShop today?
What time does it usually updates with the apps of the week?

$Why not make it so that the circlepad addon has a built in rechargable battery that connects to your 3DS to extend the 3DS battery life?

In that case it is a terrible thread title.
I'm pretty sure you're the first poster in this thread to mistake its purpose. In that case it is a terrible thread title.

So do we have a "general discussion" 3DS thread? I'm looking for case suggestions.
No demo games for US and UK my friend.
I believe you can only get them from SpotPass. Now, how exactly we receive them from SpotPass is another question...So, what's the deal with these pink puzzle pieces?
So annoying. Every time I register a game I select 'download of a trial version' as my reason for purchasing. They know I'm lying and they're punishing me.

I think you get them from Streetpass rather than Spotpass.
