So this might be a dumb question, but since they have support for the Nintendo Network IDs now, does that mean you have a unified account proving you have games?
I'm getting a 3DS XL for Christmas and I know there's the whole Nintendo thing about not having games linked to your account in case you lose your console or get it stolen.

I have a question. I just set up my NNID, and I can enter Miiverse and all that. However, when I post a comment, it shows my real name as a nickname. I check in the system settings and my nickname there is the same as my NNID, but it still show my real name. How do I change that?

I doubt they'll replace friendcodes completely on 3DS, but they could make it so that adding someone on Miiverse adds their friendcode to your friends list as well. Games like Animal Crossing allow you to add someone to your friends list in-game without having to manually input their friend code, so they could do something similar with Miiverse.
Oh well. Some time soon! Hopefully!
It should be using the name of your Mii I believe.

Why does MH3U block shots?
There is no technical restriction, it's just that CAPCOM blocked it for whatever reason.

Ah, I forgot that NNIDs aren't mandatory on 3DS. Linking them under a single system as you say would be the best solution.

WTF? Why not the system's actual nickname? Oh whatever, I'll go change that now. The problem I'm having right now is not being able to access the e-Shop. It shows my log-in info, but then it hangs on the loading screen like forever before presenting me with an error message. Thanks for the reply.

Went through and added a lot of people. I'm BuenosNachos on Miiverse, and for the moment, I'll probably be mostly posting Ace Attorney and Animal Crossing stuff 'til more stuff gets added.

Real account system almost there... Just need to be able to properly track purchases online. When it happens, WiiU shall be mine.
Other necessary changes:
-allow multiple active systems at once. (not a must, but would be nice, one system of each type is acceptable)
-Cross platform purchases when compatible.

It's till "loading" since my last comment. I wish they would let us close it and go back to the home screen instead of waiting for the thing to show us the inevitable error screen.
I just want to make sure my $12 are still there. I used the same region/country as I had before, but I've become really paranoid with Nintendo.
Well they first would have to log-into 3DS Miiverse with their NNID. But even so i dont know if its supported, since the 3DS still uses FC.

You can already track purchases (although not in any meaningful way). Nintendo's knows everything you've bought and you can view it as well through your download history. The problem is that Nintendo doesn't give you much option in regards to your purchases. You're basically buying a license to play the game. That's it.
Maybe they haven't joined miiverse yet. The update is still new.

Whoah. DON'T go into the System Transfer settings though! I was previously out of system transfers, but since they removed the limit, I opened the settings to see if it would actually let me do a transfer.
Without asking me, it just started the transfer process, by first deleting all the installed downloadable software, then confirming that DSiWare would be moved to the SD card. I didn't want it to do that so I turned off my 3DS and when I turned it back on, that's when I saw that all my stuff had been deleted.
I can't log onto the eShop right now to redownload anything (I get an error code) and I can't even use the StreetPass Mii Plaza since the update file it needed had been deleted. I get an error when I try to redownload that, too.
