I feel the Miiverse is a point I may have missed. I don't understand its appeal. At least it's not bog slow.
1. Stuck in a game? Ask on Miiverse. You can even post a screenshot to better illustrate your problem. Useful because you can ask, go back and try, and if still stuck return to Miiverse and see the responses. People can leave hints or give the full solution and mark it as a Spoiler so you know to only read it if you're truly stuck. I prefer this to reading the solution online or watching a YouTube vid because I can get the partial solution if I want.
2. Discuss the games you enjoy with other gamers. Share moments you enjoy, right there and then while in the game. Did something amazing or cool? Post about it with a screenshot. Got a high-score? Post the screenshot and challenge people to beat it.
3. Follow devs and get more info about the games they made. Announcements about upcoming games and features are often made on Miiverse by devs (especially Indie devs and of course people like Sakurai).
4. Check out Communities for games you don't own but are interested in to see what the general user opinion is. Are people enjoying the game? Or do they seem down on it for some reason?
These are just some things about Miiverse that I like. There are lots of other interesting things especially when you take into consideration the games that have Miiverse functionality specifically built-in to the software. Then you get unique things like recording voice clips and leaving them in the game world in Deus Ex for friends to find and listen to, or Miiverse Accomplishments/Achievements like in Batman Origins where a screenshot is automatically posted when you unlock one.
