My PS5 is my Call of Duty machine. I always leave it in rest mode because it sucks hopping on to play with the boys and seeing I need to install a 30GB update.

Rest mode checks for and installs updates.

I always turn off my PS5 Pro, unless I'm seldomly downloading a Playstation Essential game.

Never did anything other than rest mode with ps4/5. I'm even surprised that it's 50/50.

My Series X I have put on sold-mode in september last year, though.

Rest mode. Why not? I've never had any issues.

With rest mode I don't have to get to.a save point and close out my game. I pause whenever and come back whenever. I don't always know if it'll be in an hour or the next day.
