All this thread proves to me is how many people haven't watched Boardwalk Empire. :(

I watched the first season and thought it was pretty good, about on par with Game of Thrones, but then I got caught up in Breaking Bad and I haven't continued with it since. Does it get better in season 2?

Also, no Justified nominations? That's as good a show as any.

Mad Men Season 5, whilst having a few brilliant episodes, was MUCH weaker than the last couple seasons and had a truly mediocre finale. I'm fine with Breaking Bad sweeping everything.

It would be nice to see Parks and Rec or Community win best writing.

I didn't know Veep or Julia Louis-Dreyfus were nominated. I wanted Girls to win, but man, Veep was great.

I guess I should give Veep a second shot. That pilot was utter shit.
I heard a lot of people saying that the first episode was awful but that the series got excellent later on, but I thought the show was good from the beginning (albeit much better by the end), so I can't really comment too much on its progression.

This will be probably be one of the lowest-rated telecasts in years considering the huge NFL game tonight. For that reason, I won't be watching, but I hope the Breaking Bad stars clean up again (I think Mad Men will still win the big award, though). It'd be nice to see Esposito win, considering it's his only chance.

welp, congrats to esposito.

I don't get this attitude, sure problem dog was a strong episode but I don't think one monologue is gonna seal the deal.

Remember that End Times starts with Walt spinning his gun by the pool and ends with Gus narrowly avoiding the bomb in his car. Jesse goes through a lot in the intervening period.
