How's that a plus? Instead of pretty prerendered CGI graphics you get archaic ugly ones to play out a scene.

Not everyone's a graphics whore? It's faster which is a plus after the first time you've seen it, opposed to an FMV.

This may be an attempt to "Famify" FF10 International, what with the armor equipped on Tidus is a Ribonshiirudo/Ribbon Shield, which was only in the Intl/PAL version of the game.
