Is he related to Asop Rock? I always get the names confused. Is it the same dude?

It's like Anticon and Antipop Consortium. Can't tell the difference. Life is tough.

Gunplay on Ghetto's Symphony

This. Best verse on the album possibly.

"Once she blow my whistle, she know it's dismissal" >>>>>>>>>>>>

Just my luck that I come across this thread AFTER I leave for work...

I'll be sure to give this a listen while I'm at the gym this evening.

Sucks to hear that it was leaked this early though...

People should definitely be putting Jodye after Pain
(in place of Fuckin Problems, that song somehow sounds even worse now!)

I was expecting Angels to be a companion to Demons.
What I got was..... not that.

@ Black Republican, kill that entire sentence lest get this thread locked bruh.

Man that switch on Suddenly is just ridiculous.

I was just saying to myself the beat change on Suddenly is so smooth. gotdamn

How I rate the songs

Long Live Asap - 10/10 - Love the mellow chorus because it's so different from the whole song. It feels like the whole song has a dark aura about it, then it adds a little light.. If you understand what I mean lol

Goldie - 9/10 - It's hard to rate a track I've been listening to months already. Really good song, and Hit-Boy killed it again

PMW - 10/10 - Q kilt it

LVL - 10/10 - I love Clams Casino beats and Asap fits so well with it

Hell - 9/10 - Another great beat, don't really care for Santigold though

Pain - 7/10 - If I didn't know this was a Rocky song, I would've thought it was a Tyler The Creator song

Wild For The Night - 4/10 - I can't stand Skrillex, this shit sounds like fuckin Optimus Prime vs Megatron

1 Train - 9.9/10 - Yes that .1 is taken out cause of YelaWolf

Fashion Killa - 6/10 - Shits corny

Phoenix - 10/10 - Asap's flow at the beginning.. denzelmyninja.jpeg

Suddenly - 10/10 - The switch up in the beat was too SMOOOOVE

Jodye - 9/10 - Only thing I think of when listening to this track is Darkness, shit just sounds evil. KLVN type shit.

Ghetto Symphony - 10/10 - Took out Ferg's verse and this song is amazing

Angels - 10/10 - That beat.. so good

I think every track except Fashion Killa, Wild for the night, and Fuckin problems are good. Fashion Killa is the least offensive of this 3, while wild for the night is offensively terrible.

Is the "Soul!" vocal sample in Ghetto Symphony supposed to be a tease that the Lana Del Rey track isn't on here?

Where the hell is it btw? That'd would've completed the album nicely.

I'm just gonna add the leaked one on in itunes as another bonus track. Shame it isn't on the actual album.

i still cant believe ghetto symphony missed the album for filler shit like suddenly, hell & pain

I rearranged the tracks and it works song well as the 2nd track after Jodye

Anyone else think that was a 40 beat at first?

Definitely lmao. I honestly thought I heard the beat before. I was like hmm this sounds like a song drake has rapped on in the past

Sounds like Underground Kings a bit.

of course it reminds you of Drake. it's T-Minus. pretty standard beat from him.

tons of artists used that same sample lately kanye, travis scott, lupe, lana, etc.

.

I never really paid attention to what tracks T-Minus produced but I checked and yeah lol dude's variety needs work

How in the hell is Suddenly filler? One of the best tracks on the album. Other 2 aren't filler, Pain is okay.

That's because it's all Aubrey raps over.

Word, I can get with this, and yes that beat switch on Suddenly is so damn smoove and Rocky rides it like Sara Jay. pause

I can't get over how hungry Krit sounds on 1Train. I really like all the verses except Yela, but damn man. Krit took control.

That image is disturbing.

I agree.

smh at Yelawolf haters. I get hating his recent output but he came good on this. If y'all wanna hate on a verse joey badass did not belong in that track if you listen to the lyrics. His flow was on point though. They all worked so well with the beat flow-wise.

1 Train: Big KRIT > Danny Brown > Action Bronson > ASAP Rocky > Yelawolf > Kendrick > Joey Badass

PMW sounds like a 40 beat. My second favorite track on the album though easily. It belongs to Q and is even more validation that we need a Rocky/Q mixtape. And when he sings it gives me "Demons" vibes.

Ghetto Symphony is the best eaaaaaaasily. Even ASAP Eli Porter at the end can't make me rate this lower than the best. I'm gonna edit that shit verse out though. Because Gunplay does a fatality on the beat.

Ghetto Symphony
PMW
1Train
Jodye
Goldie

I could only put Ghetto Symphony up there with the best of his mixtape though (Brand New Guy, Wassup, Palace, Demons)

Clams Casino was kind of boring on this. wth he did so good on livelove too.

Kendrick did so much better than Yela. I thought Yela's flow was the main problem. Killed the pace the track had going. Joey was 2nd worst.

I really like LVL, but Clams did better on the last tape.

Surely you would only switch Kendrick with Yela on my ranking though right? Because the other 4 did better than the last 3.

saving this for friday, will post impressions then. gaf-hop fam makes it sound like the last few tracks are basura but still kinda hyped.

honestly after this and big boi's, i think we can put the AOTY thread up already, aint much left now, and none of it is gonna top kendrick's shit.

This shouldn't count as a 2012 album.

if it's allowed in AOTY thread then I move that we allow Channel Orange and Weeknd Trilogy in too lol

oh yeah, i forget it's mad early, heh...putting an early release like this for 2013 though kinda ensures it'll be forgotten by the year's end, unless there's some really standout shit (and i say this still saying goldie was one of my favorite singles this year)

I see Ghetto Symphony being in my top 5 songs of 2013 by the end of the year.

its a decent album. It doesn't come closes to good kid maad city though. Then again it will be a while before a hip hop album comes close.

Guys stop reminding me Ferg is on Ghetto Symphony.. I already took his verse off day 1.

1 Train - Krit > Rocky > Danny > Kendrick > Bronson > Joey Bada$$ > The Rhymes I wrote to the beat > Yelawolf

That voice man

Ferg's verses on Lord$ Never Worry were good, not sure what happened here. Dude sounded awful, not the right song to put him on.
