There are alot of issues with nfts. There is all the nft farmers that will pop up like gold farms in wow. It will completely break any meaning or direction that was intended. Then you will have shady practices like " first 100 people to preorder will get a nft!"
It would break the industry for sure.

As for long term value - it'll depend if CSGO remains popular 20 years from now and valve doesn't eventually give these out for cheap/make it easily attainable. If this all comes to pass, then value will go up and may look like a good purchase.

this goes against the very concept of having NFTs in games tho.
because it shows quite well that NFTs aren't even remotely needed to have an economy in a game like the one he talked about in his tweets.
