The Wii is overbashed. It's a great system for creative new ideas and yet it gets judged based on its shovelware and worst games. I will die on the hill that motion controls are far better than dual analog and I wish they were in every game that featured aiming. Splatoon, Doom 2016, and RE4 Wii feel awesome using motion controls. It's like if people played Mario 64 for an hour, decided they hated the wiggly stick thing in the middle, and then we were stuck with the D-Pad for 3D gaming for the next 20 years.
Anyway, some good Wii games go beyond Galaxy 1 and 2. For motion control stuff specifically there's Boom Blox, Skyward Sword, House of the Dead Overkill, Silent Hill Shattered Memories, WarioWare, Sin & Punishment, the Pikmin ports, Trauma Center & Team, and Wii Sports Resort. A bunch of other good games that were less motion-control focused: ExciteBots, Little King's Story, Xenoblade, Rhythm Heaven Fever, DKC Returns, Kirby's Epic Yarn, Mario Kart Wii, Smash Brawl, WarioLand, Punch-Out, De Blob, and even Wii Fit was pretty awesome. Plus some excellent digital games like Shovel Knight and Mega Man 9.
