they're both cold blooded killers. i see no difference.

its plenty different if you actually put some thought into it.
Hernandez was a thug who killed another thug
He had a lot of talent and potential
He had a family who loved him

The fb killer had no talent, chose a random nice old man to murder, and no one gave 2 shits about him

They're both pieces of shit no doubt but it's a different story completely

Wow. The whole story of this mans life is a cautionary one. Just a few massive mistakes that could have been avoided and his life would have been completely different.

Such a bizarre and tragic story. Beautiful family, incredible talent, bad upbringing but was making a huge name for himself...all thrown away for murder and gang involvement, and now suicide. I feel for his family, it must have already been so hard, and now this.

Oh okay. So we can feel for him because he played football before killing a bunch of people.

Got it

From a tight end on the fucking Patriots to this, in the span of a few years. Has there ever been a darker and more dramatic fall from grace in the world of sports? Besides OJ.

seems like "putting some thought into it" means delusional mental gymnastics. explain to me how Hernandez's victim was a thug?

My wife refuses to believe it was sucicide, but he died alone in a cell with it locked and items shoved from inside the cell to try to prevent it from opening.

Maybe it was autoerotic asphyxiation and he didn't want anyone walking in on him

Anyway, good riddance to bad rubbish

Thats sad, his poor daughter.

He might have won his appeal on the other case, who knows?

He wasn't a good person; but still... Loyal wife, daughter, family.

Uhhh. That's some weird framing to make. They were both murderers.

I don't feel for him at all. It's a tragic story. I feel for his family.

why do you feel for his family? they're probably better off without a dangerous piece of shit like that in their lives. you think someone who has the capacity to murder someone because they were annoyed by them is fit to be a father or husband?

Why does someone feel bad for a kid who will grow up without a father, and a widow who loved him and had no involvement in his crimes? Gosh, I couldn't possibly imagine.

He also leaves behind a fiancée and a baby. He committed terrible crimes and has only himself to blame.

That said. people CAN be sad about the situation. People can be upset about the waste of life and talent due to his actions.

You're missing the point entirely.

Such a sad story tbh. He had everything going for him, yet he made some fucking dumb decisions and now he's dead at 27.

why do you feel for his family?

Because they love him and were given a bit of hope that he could get out last week only to find out that he killed himself and now their world is crushed?

The majority of people understand he's a murderous piece of trash. But his family doesn't think that.

This isn't how I expected this to end.

Had opportunities millions could only dream of. Wasted it all on thuggery.

Joy Lane said Steve Stevens "is a nice guy" who got along great with her kids. should we feel bad for him now too?

I'm confused. Did he accidentally kill someone?

Are you being purposefully obtuse?

You asked why people feel bad for his family.

I explained why.

You then replied with "oh, so we should feel bad for him?"

What?

You are talking about two completely different things.

murder and murder are two different things?

Good lord you are dense.

until you start explaining your brilliant logic instead of just dismissing me, you're just spamming the thread.

anyone with common sense would recognize that a family would be BETTER OFF without a murderer in their midst. all the crazy shit he's done over the years, who knows how abusive he was to them.

didn't think they allowed bedsheets in cells.
Why not? You cannot take everything away from people that may be used to harm themselves, you'd have them almost naked in an empty room with just a mattress on the floor and that would probably make things worse, because the idea of being stuck in such an environment for the rest of your life is horrifying.

I feel bad for his daughter, you can't choose your parents and now she has a dead dad. What a waste of a life.

Still a chance. The double murder acquittal removed the intent from the Lloyd case I believe.

Not really, he killed Lloyd because he (Lloyd) got drunk and told people that Hernandez was involved in a double murder, this motive still holds up regardless of whether or not Hernandez was found to have committed the previous murders.

I don't think anyone is feeling sorry for him per se.

More that the dude had a very unique talent and opportunity, wasted it, and then just ended it.

Plus, even as a murderer, people did love him--family. They will be hurt as well.

His life is a textbook tragedy.

I guess it's different when you know his story. But in my eyes a killer is a killer no matter what his day job.

It's been very clearly explained, you're also comparing apples to oranges in that post regarding why we feel for his family.

As others have said, one can be a bad person and still have an overall tragic story.

I don't feel for him at all. It's a tragic story. I feel for his family.

Sooo that same sentiment should go for anyone who goes off the deep end kills people. They all have families they all made a bad decision and those other stories could have been avoided.

I'm not dying on this hill but.. a piece of shit is a piece of shit.
Good riddence.

They were talking about feeling for Aaron Hernandez's family.

You came in and whatabouted with a fb killer.

Please keep rereading all of the posts involved until you understand why you are wrong.
