Action Figure GAF |OT| Articulated figures murdered my wallet

I thought that mod ruling was stupidly vague, even the clarity was vague. Don't be mysterious and ominous, be open and transparent.

I dont like the boatgirls nendos. But theres nothing actually wrong with them? posable, clothed.

Without some decent rules properly explained its just going to look like petty, vindictive modding.

background: I lurked figuregaf mainly for videogame nendos/figmas/statues, was a very good catch-all thread and saved me following endless blogs. sad to see it ripped to the ground on a whim (whim = didnt see a mod posting/warning in there in a long time, but I fast-scrolled the pages)

Cyan's rule was if it would be posted in figuregaf dont post it here, so, no gundams, no play arts, no hot toys, no figmas

But all of these things have been discussed thoroughly from the beginning. The last few pages alone have been a bunch of discussion about Hot Toys, Figmas and Figuarts.

Better ban them and delete those posts, then, because that stuff was also posted in FigureGAF! :)

What exactly was wrong with my Nedoroid post that got it deleted?

Last I checked Nendoroids can be classed as articulated figures, there was nothing revealing or lewd about the Nendoroid I posted, other people have posted Nendoroids and not had their posts deleted, so what's the actual rule?

I messaged a mod. I was told they were not to be posted here.

Really? wow. Nendo have been posted in here before, no? The Wind Waker Link one constantly makes an appearance (and tempts my wallet...staaahp). Red as well.

If there are going to be rules, they should be clear.

i'm guessing case-by-case basis. i will PM Cyan often when i get them!

makes sense.

I hope I didn't offend anyone. I liked both threads and generally lurked. So I don't want to cause any trouble for this one obviously.

Me either. Thought I would be able to contribute but not the case. Didn't mean to derail, sorry about that.

Following up on questions of what is and isn't ok to post in here. As ModBot said in the closing post in FigureGAF, if a community thread gets shut down, we don't want that community to try to take over another thread. This is why I posted rules of thumb rather than absolute standards--the intent here is not something like "western action figures are fine, Japanese stuff is bad," but rather "please don't move your discussion wholesale into this thread and drown out what was previously discussed here."

We're not super excited about arguing a bunch of exemptions and edge cases, especially since the distinction between this thread and the Figure thread was always a little fuzzy around the edges. But clearly people are wondering what's ok to post here and want some further rules. Ok, we can do some of that. Giant robot action figures are fine. Nendo figures might fit the letter of this thread, but they don't appear to fit the spirit. On the other hand, Nendo figures weren't the problem with FigureGAF, so we're open to allowing discussion of them, just not in this thread. If someone wants to make a thread for Nendos specifically, that's fine.

If you want to respond or ask further questions, feel free to do so via PM rather than in this thread. This thread has been derailed enough.

thanks again for the clarification.

Finally found Marvel Legends Daredevil today . They also had the new wave of NECA Predators but I couldn't for the life of me remember which ones I already had and which one I didnt

Does Superman even lift?

“Well, I was born yesterday.” One of the biggest highlights of the record-breaking Marvel’s Avengers: Age of Ultron is the introduction of the new characters in the film! Originally planned to be the perfect “evolution” for Ultron, the Avengers was able to retrieve the android Vision and made him a valuable ally for Earth’s Mightiest Heroes to stop Ultron from eradicating mankind!

Today, Hot Toys is excited to present the humanoid hero that many fans have been waiting for – the 1/6th scale Vision Collectible Figure!

The movie-accurate Vision Collectible Figure is specially crafted based on his image in Avengers: Age of Ultron. It features a newly developed head sculpt with detailed texture and Mind Stone, specially tailored costume and cape, Thor’s hammer Mjölnir, and a specially designed figure stand.

Your Avengers: Age of Ultron collection wouldn’t be complete without the addition of this powerful android!

Sure? I thought I remember seeing when he pulls up the Mark 45 schematic it said
Friday?

I know he uploaded something via USB drive or whatever that had Friday labelled on it.

Those were the AI programs for the suit. He uses "her" name in conversation with the suit AI during the final act.

There was another one labelled "Jocasta" too as a good *wink wink* moment.

Vision up on Sideshow Collectibles for $220. They have got to be joking.

What were you expecting? He's the same price as Widow, Hawkeye, Cap. That's basically the entry level price point for HT figures now. It's only getting more expensive from here bud.

Whiplash 1.0 was 149.99 when he was first released. So no this logic when Infinity wara figures start coming out looking at easily 300 a figure
