So Im looking to pick up one of these things, just for PS2 for now. Does anyone out there have one (or both)? Which one is better? Its been easier to find out what codes/features the Action Replay MAX offers, but the product itself seems to be much harder to find. I can pick up a GameShark pretty much anywhere, but it seems to be more expensive, and their web site is very unhelpful.

Who out there has any experience with these things? Is it worth the extra effort to import (I'm in Canada) or eBay an Action Replay?

Codebreak is the best especially if you have a USB Key drive! You can go to their website download cheats and update the software, they have day 1 support for all the PS2 games. Highly recommended

Never tried the GameShark but I tried the Action Replay MAX.

Personnally, I wouldn't even consider either of them, but the sake of it, I'll go with the Action Replay MAX for the Genesis emulator...

I use the Gameshark.

Its a lot more stable than the AR.

I bought the AR, and the thing never worked right. It would lock up, it would crash my games.

GS is really stable, does a lot of things, and is easy to use.

ARMAX is way more stable then everything else. You can convert codes from one cheating device to another, btw.

Where do you get update discs for the PS2 Gamesark. I thought the product was discontinued. I have one I bought years back, but don't have any codes for any current games. I just placed an order for an Action Replay becuase I saw it cheap over at Cheapassgamer.com ($15). Can you svae game to the PS2 AR and put them on your PC hard drive? My PS2 memory card is abuot full, and I keep forgetting to grab a new one when I'm out.

the Action Replay MAX is the best technology, but the CodeBreaker has those crazy hardcore ex-amateur code masters turned pro...

oh yeah, you dont even need a PC to update the MAX, you can go online with the PS2 and update!
