Im very happy that i dont have to stay up until 4am to watch the ufc for once.

And this might be the wrong ufc thread but:
Watching ufc primetime was weird, i was surprised that they made BJ look like a dick. Everything he said felt silly, a spoiled kid talking about KILLING GSP and that gsp is a quitter.
Coming from a guy who left the ufc more then randy and tito, this feels wrong and stupid.

I hope that gsp wins, a bj win would fuck up TWO weight divisions.
BJ made BJ look like a dick.

What do you mean, "they made BJ look like a dick"? BJ is a dick.

Says the guy with a Brock avatar.

I'm kidding, I'm kidding.

Pretty sure Asbel lost a bet.

yeah, you all are right of course.
i was just surprised that they didn't even tried to cover the fact that he
is talking himself into being the root-against guy.

Too bad the ufc94 thread is locked :\ Yep, BJ indeed is a dick, and i believe he's way overrated. I doubt he's training even half of what GSP does. I can't wait to see GSP throwing BJ around and then stomp all over him while on the ground.

Curious to see Ace and Hendo fighting, have no clue how it's gonna turn out. I'd like to see Coleman win again Rua somehow, it would be a good upset.

As for the Affliction show, not too hard to predict.... I predict Fedor winning by submission via eye contact. Seriously, who really believes that AA's boxing is somehow going to save him from ending on the ground??? I think Affliction has been successful at hyping this fight, to a point where people really do believe that AA's got a chance against Fedor. Even Roy Nelson had AA pined down on the ground; AA got saved by the ref last time. I wouldn't be surprised to see Fedor punch AA like he did to Tim Sylvia either.

Also, I'm curious to see Fedor's protegé Kirill Sidelnikov fight as well.

Anyhow, my picks for this afternoon.

Franklin
Shogun
Kang
Lytle if he tries to win, Davis if they have an agreement to stand in an effort to win fight of the night.
Palhares

They tried, but couldn't get the broadcast deal done in time. The next UK card (UFC 95) is free on spike.

Lame they couldn't get this one on there. There's also a fight night on Spike in three weeks, so its literally 4 straight weeks of MMA (PPV, Affliction PPV, PPV, Fight Night.)

As stated in the OP if you must post SPOILER TAG YOUR SHIT

No Omg
X
Won or You won't believe who just won shit. Or you're in for a surprise tonight stuff! Spoiler tag your fucking posts. No one wants your show preview if they are watching tonight.

Kang sucks
Losing to Alan Belcher? Seriously?
Though I was half expecting it. Never got the Kang hype. He is not top 10.

i think arlovski will win. he looks cooler than fedor and is more powerful and has a better chin. fedor looks like a dork.

I hope your being sarcastic. Fedor is the MMA equivalent of the African honey badger. I don't think Arlovski has much of a chance, besides a puncher's chance.

i really like Palhares, he could be awesome with some stand-up
and a bigger gas tank. and yes, kang was a disappointment.

come on shogun! show us how good you can really be! btw why the hell is rampage fighting jardine? i thought rampage was fighting evans next.

bah, the bj speak always makes me cringe. i feel ashamed for him.
and i forgot how weird shoguns intro music was.

I hope Rua is in better shape than he was in the fight against Forrest.
he doesn't look very ripped so i'm hoping he doesn't gas quick. oh and i hope his bad knee doesn't give out.

you can tell that long layoff is affecting shogun, any decent fighter would of already finished off coleman.

why the hell didn't shogun attempt more head kicks? coleman is practically asking shogun to finish him.

finally! wasn't a good looking win but i'll take it! hopefully shogun comes better prepared next time.

This is why I cant take anything that happened in PRIDE seriously.

Whatever the cause... it doesnt seem to translate to the UFC

steroids, shogun is very young so he still can improve. rampage came from pride and became ufc champion so i still have faith in him. obviously shogun needs to work on his striking and definitely work on his stamina. shogun didn't really look that ripped so he obviously didn't have a great training camp.

Shogun vs Chuck...get it over with while their "names" are still intact.

What's this with Rampage vs Jardine? I missed that, did they announce that during the PPV?

yeah it was announced and i'm very underwhelmed. i guess the winner of machida/silva is going to get the next title shot. ah well machida deserves a title shot.

People need to relax, and give Shogun some time. He just got back from an injury that ends most peoples careers, in all sports. He looked like shit, and gassed, but I am still going to wait and see how he is after a training camp with no injuries, and once he gets his cardio back up. Though, his best weapon, which are stomps and kicks once his opponent is down, is taken away from him with the UFC's rules.

I don't know man, I would like to agree with you but he was gassed by the end of the first round...
