if i was a blizz dev, i'd walk on stage with my nuts out

'these are my nuts, questions please'
"Excuse me, sir, but your testicals appear to be on a leash. Why? And why is that Poohbear-looking gentleman holding the other end?"
*holds out microphone

If the alleged 4chan leak turns out to be right on the money and Diablo 4 is a first person looter shooter complete with Rian Johnson level subversion of expectations for the Diablo lore, I'll just grab the popcorn, lean back and peruse various social media for juicy outrage.
I still think the post is bogus, but I'll happily eat crow if it isn't.

Diablo 3 was lukewarm garbage vomited up upon an Arizona sidewalk in mid-July.

Star Craft 2 was a love story, of hatefucked to death by the Overfiend proportions.

Overwatch was named ironically.

WoW was never a good idea.

Hearthstone had potential, I guess.

The Lost Vikings had the right idea.

And CE Blizzard has its head so far up China's arsehole, it is no wonder they are physically based in the U.S.

Free Hong Kong, Whiney Xi Poo!

Free Tibet whilst you are at it.

i don't give a fuck about the morals of that company
me buying a game i like means nothing.

i like diablo that's it
Usually agree, and we all end up supporting China financially whether we know it or not.

But it's one thing to engage in business with China and it's another to jump in bed with them politically. Shutting down people protesting a government, especially when that government is putting millions of religious minorities in concentration camps and harvesting their organs while alive for transplants, is a bad look for an American company.

Rest

All these years later I still chuckle at what a fucking moron that guy is.
Of course they're going all-in after the fact the Blizzard brand is going down the shitter (has been for past 10 years maybe?) and last year was just fucking awful.
This is exactly what I expected when Activision bought them. It was confirmed for me when Activision broke up StarCraft II, which was a complete, single game, into multiple releases. The recent shitshow is just Blizzard sloughing off the vestiges of what it was and revealing the disease that Activision has always been. The assimilation is complete, now they're just not pretending.

Gotta laugh at the people boycotting Blizzard. I wonder if they are boycotting all the other companies who are connected to China? Nah didn't think so. Some people just like to piss and moan.

If Diablo / Overwatch look interesting then I'll buy it. Simple as that.

sure, some companies manufacture their products in china. But lets be real, it would be ridiculous to check every single label on every product you buy in order to find out what to boycott. Take a public stance in favor of a Communist country, that literally has concentration camps, and against liberty is radically different.

Blizzard, the NBA, and anyone else taking a similar stance can go fuck themselves, they are despicable and have no guts. I love Overwatch but I havnt touched it since and Overwatch 2 sounds like trash anyway.

You can go out all big dick as much as you want Blizzard, I'm fucking done.

Edit: That said can't wait for the shit show that's Blizz con and the demonstrations drowning out the game announcements.

I have no problems boycotting all these companies that support China since I really don't care for their products / services.
I don't care for Nike or NBA, I don't buy dvds/blurays and VERY rarely go to the movies (went 2x this year) so Disney is easy to boycott, and the last Blizzard game I bothered with was Starcraft (back in 2000s, I don't know if there was any later re-release).

Blizzard is already losing sponsors, Mitsubishi dropped out, when one drops out, the others quickly follow.

Between wow classic, sekiro, cod mobile, cod and blizzcon, the China thing is barely on their radar after blizzcon and the layoffs are normal to them. This is a pretty good year for them.

Blizzard fucked up. Years of legacy thrown in trash can. But in the end it actually helped the HK outcry and this is what matters now.

If you won't buy D4 or OW2 for protest reasons, why would you keep buying Nike or Adidas shoes? This is just one example out of a myriad of companies who can't live without China's oppressive methods.
This is a good point. I'm probably a hypocrite for much of this. Really only took a stand against Blizz as that seems to be an optional way I spend some free time/money. Might have to evaluate how I approach this further.

Another reason why this company is in trouble is because Riot Games recently put all their cards on the table at once. If you know anything about Riot Games they're owned by Tencent and if you know anything about Tencent (i learned this recently) Is that they own a majority of the game cafes in China. EVERY SINGLE RIOT GAME will be on those computers in the cafes that Tencent owns,

I don't want to be too dramatic but it a sense this is kinda the last straw for Blizzard. They have NO CHOICE but to go all out right now.
this has nothing to do with all the Hong Kong garbage . MONEY WILL BE FLYING AWAY FROM BLIZZARD if they don't go all out and satisfy fans after what Riot has shown.

People boycotting Blizzard does not make them any better than anyone else who still decides to buy their products.
Agreed.
While I felt the initial punishment was over the top, I agree with them not wanting to allow political stuff in gaming. I personally also don't want to see it.
If you feel otherwise, that's fine, boycott or do whatever you want; but thinking you're better than someone who doesn't agree is just immature.

I am excited for Blizzon and am looking forward to all the new announcements.

Someone should go resurrect President George Washington and have him go constitutional on Blizzard’s ass.

It would make for a great southpark episode.

The artstyle and details used for the new WC3 Reforged units look like they would fit a Diablo game. They actually look a lot like what I dreamed as a kid, 3D that look just as detailed and high definition as the 2D sprites.

I wonder if they will announce the new games and remaster for consoles too, or they will release years after because typical PC Blizzard fans whiners.

Breh...

Looks like PoE 4.0 and Lost Ark will have their work cut out for them. D2 with better combat than D3? Thas it mayne

What is all this bullshit about a Diablo FPS and people who actually want that garbage? How does that even work, since Diablo plays nothing like a FPS? I can't even begin to think how incredibly shitty something like a Barb would play in first person ... Randomly generated dungeons tend to look like complete ass in first person as well.

Not everything has to be COD/Overwatch. There's barely an oversaturated market of great isometric games anyways these days.
Let Diablo just be Diablo please.

There's plenty of room for both innovation and throwback for this franchise, without resorting to trying something as hamfisted as being a first person shooter ...

Im not asking for a Diablo FPS, but if it came to pass I'd be curious.

The leaker also said the combat is very much like Diablo 3 but with better animations.

No word on mechanics or itemization.
