Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. S4 |OT| Ghost Riders in the Skye - Tuesdays 10/9c

"Whole team other than Coulson is gonna be fucked up if they get out of this."

Straight up. Fitz has actually murdered a (semi-real) innocent person.

I also like Coulson.exe being completely enamored with the idea of being a spy, like the wife from RED.

Wow. How did this show go from where it started to this? My God, Shield has become incredible. I can't believe that I almost dropped the show a while back.

I don't think Fitz is making it out of this season. He's too far gone.

i feel like people are gonna lose that "removed regret" and shit is gonna get ugly.

Mack might lose his daughter
Coulson is already involved in back that life*
Fitz is somehow gonna reconnect w/ Jemma
*Mace gonna get domoted to Coulson rising to authority.
and May... she's gonna kill someone that prevents a mass murder (**
probably the person that's responsible for the death of Mack's daughter.... AIDA
)

I'm guessing the explanation would be something like, "He didn't have a clear shot." But I wondered the same thing.

He said Fitz is a sadist, so he knows he experiments on living potential inhumans. He also knows Skye is one. Killing Madame Hydra might hurt Hydra a lot more, but killing Fitz protects Skye which is all he cares about.

This Fitz
had to

There were some strange forms of horrific "comeuppance" from events that happened in the real world

"Hived" Daisy did try to kill Fitz, even while he was trying to get her to remember who she really was.
Fitz helped create the new AIDA and the Framework, which is assuredly going to break most everyone that gets out of it, including himself. The guilt overload he'll be getting will be justified punishment, because he knew he should have turned in Radcliffe, but instead helped him.
Radcliffe created all of this. This situation should never had gotten to that point, if he hadn't desired that stupid book. It's gotten him dead, and gotten Agnes Double Dead.
Mack paid for his racism against InHumans with the fact that his Daughter thinks less of him now.
May, Mace and Coulson are TBD

When they got back on the plane after escaping he had this look on his face when holding the gun like, "This all seems very natural". I think he was going to tell Simmons, but he saw her expression first. He knew it wasn't the right time to express his new discovery.

I mainly think it's interesting that his "regret" is joining SHIELD and being a spy and yet he finds himself being extremely drawn towards being a spy now that he's not.

I think it's going to set up a monkey's paw scenario for pretty much the entire team. It already has (overtly) with May and Fitz.

damn, this show really got good, there's some real stakes and consequences in this "alternate reality" arc, Fitz will never forgive himself.

Hot damn all black Aida
I see Daisy used Iron Fist logic exit to the front
Fitz doesn't want to give up that robot waifu

Ward's redemption. Fitz's fall. I'm all for it

Speaking of which, do you think that information was provided to May by Aida herself? Otherwise, where did it come from? With all the time they spend harping on how Ward was always a two-faced, double-dealing liar, I’m going to be really disappointed if Grant Ward is again playing the long con here, secretly working for Aida. Then again, he’s nothing more than a manifestation of the man taken from digital information and the memories of Daisy and company, so it might be depressingly inevitable.

That did make me pause, where
did she get that info
. Didn't make the connection
with Ward though, but yeah,
that could very well be true. [edit] Or maybe not, given
he was a trigger away from offing the Doctor
.

He was pointing at Fitz because Fitz was menacing Agnes. They were all screaming in the bushes about the situation, and he was thinking eliminating Fitz would be the best course to save Agnes.

If all DLC came tied to $13 figurines, I'd consider all DLC to be free
No matter how it ends... Already feeling terribly sad for Mack. This will be very difficult for him..

"Mac's gonna die by the end of the season, been saying it since the season started"

They haven't killed a black guy yet this season, so it's about time.

Nerdy, golly gosh Coulson was a real treat to see again in this episode acting like he was in some of the early movies. Gregg plays him somberly as the years and events have weighed on him, for good reason, but it was fun to see old Coulson again.

I was like "It would make for a terrific dramatic moment, but there's no way they go through with it. Fitz/ Simmons is too popular. There's going to be a last moment hail mary.".

But they did it, the mad men, and with Iain De Caestecker offering a wonderful performance to boot...
