I answered you before...

I'll elaborate. I worked for Warner Bros. short a short period of time (production assistant! grunt work - yay!), but not in a film capacity (television), but had access to the film operations. I've worked on independent features and have made some connections in my prior visits to Los Angeles, as all my friends (and soon to be roommates) work in the film industry out there. I'm moving to the North Hollywood/Studio City area next month myself to start wriggling into the mainstream. You guy will probably be seeing a lot less of me when I move, which I guess could be a good or bad thing depending on your opinion on me.

And I look forward to showing off a personal project, dedicated to and created because of GAF, sometime next May.

Ah! Must've missed your reply. I'm moving to Santa Monica by the end of the Summer and can't avoid film industry bods if I tried. It ain't that expensive though - try London! :-|

Good luck with your project. It's hard enough getting projects picked up. The next stage is making sure big-ego'd exec producers don't fuck up your vision. Good luck!

Actually, there will be a veiled Space Jam reference if my scripted stuff stays intact, but it may be cut and the final project will have nothing to do with Michael Jordan.

Don't hate on Space Jam! Its no Kazaam

Haha, you won't be that far away. You should stop by for a drink sometime. Eh, it's expensive where I'm coming from. I'm looking forward to being poor initially.

My personal project is just that -- a project. It's independent and we've already scheduled it to be shot, so it'll be done and I don't expect to see or get anything from it save for a couple of laughs from the guys on the forum. If I accomplish that, then my job is done there.

I'm less concerned about getting stuff picked up or sold than I am about being attached to or working on someone's project, having it get the Hollywood treatment and people's creative control being stifled in the process. I've been fortunate enough to meet the right people at the right time, and a lot of things are going down behind the scenes that I'll come out and elaborate on if anything comes of it.

This probably the most public I've been about events that have been in the works for months, simply because I tend to be more private about these things and I find the whole, "I'M GOING TO HOLLYWOOD TO BECOME A STAR!" bit rather pathetic.

I doubt it's real, but I'll throw it out there anyways.....

It's real. Coming Soon.net got it via Fox.

May 26th seems rather...early doesn't it?

I also caught this on IMDB's boards:

Sorry to start a new thread on this, but it's better than going through all the other threads and addressing them separately. Simon Kinberg said several days ago that the rumors of the deaths and other spoilers that came from this script review were of a script that is NOT being used anymore. It is several months old, not this 6-day-draft that the site claims, and that it is no longer in play as the script that they will be shooting the movie with in a couple months. AICN is not a reliable source anyway. This so called review also comes from someone we have no proof of trusting. For all we know, this person could have found this draft in the trash and started spreading it that way. Besides, so much of that review makes little sense, especially with what happened in the last two movies, that it would make no sense for them to go forward with it.

I hope so, although the
Angel
scenes DID sound cool.

And Wilco, it's great to see other people aspiring to make a film career, I'm currently on the path as well, taking some film courses in school, writing in my spare time and shooting things whenever I can....

Just keep in touch, because keeping a network of people you know when you're nothing is vital as you get surrounded by bullshiters the farther you tend to go forward with your career.

Warner Bros. seems to be the place to be for superhero movies at the moment, and they've attracted guys like Whedon, Singer and Nolan to give them some credibility.

We'll see how long that lasts...let's not forget the Catwoman firebomb from a year ago. Nevermind the crazyness that went on with Superman 2, the medicore 3 and 4, the ridiculously bad Supergirl. Won't even get into the Schumacher Batmans.

If this script is legit, I imagine Wolvie and Storm is just a way to make Halle front and center, as she's been demanding. It's shit like this why I've never been big into hiring big stars for these movies...the stars get serviced instead of the characters. Sure, I'd love to see Halle getting it on again, Monster Ball style...but I don't see the point of it in this context. Hell, Wolverine getting it on with Jubilee makes more sense, and that would be creepy as fuck. Anyway, everyone knows that Anglea Basset should've played Storm...no way she'd be demanding more screen time, and her potrayl of Storm would be far more authentic.

Heh, sounds cool. Perhaps with any luck you can resurrect the Darkman franchise. :lol Seriously, good luck with your future endeavours...your posts will be missed by this reader.

Sure hope that script isn't the one being used...reading some of the stuff on ACIN, it didn't do much to inspire confidence. Keep your fingers crossed.

1. Never believe anything you read on the IMDB's boards. They make AICN's Talkback, the IGN Boards, and GameFaqs look good in comparison.

2. Rothman and Fox are obviously super super pissed over what AICN posted and are switching over to damage control mode as they know they have something worse than Batman & Robin on their hands but they don't want people to know it yet.

Come on... it sounds pretty bad, but how does it even come close?

That teaser poster is sweet, BTW.

Ah yes xmen ruined again. Though these arent confirmed rumors , sure sounds like the messed up xmen series i been watching. All the characters have screwed up backgrounds, stories and interactions. Not even close to the comic book, yeah i know the bs line back when the first xmen movie came out was "it cant be like the comic book" but gee well Spiderman did it, Sin city was damn near panel for panel, The Crow was very close, Batman Begins is basically year one and the dark knight put together. What the fuck is up with this series, the changes made to the comicbook material arent even GOOD changes, they're better be sentinels in this movie.
