looking at another persons phone conversations is a dick thing to do, but like most things, this is a clear exception to that rule.

If it was large enough she could easily make out some workds that raised alarms, please read, take pictures, film it, contact the authorities. This woman is a hero.

Everyone in the cell block of these people should receive a memo saying what they are in for. They deserve a proper welcoming party.

Ugh. That "But it was role play" excuse is maddening but all too familiar for scum like this. Good on this woman, she made a big difference for a child's life. Years ago, I was an Admin on a certain Final Fantasy board we had a journal section for people to share their thoughts and there was a guy who constantly talking about running away with a young girl always pining for her despite knowing how "wrong " it was. The guy had Kodomo no Jikan (controversial anime about a young first grader falling head over heels for her teacher) images. Reported to the guy's local PD with transcripts, but sadly never heard anything back. It was probably too little to go on. This story reminds mine of that.

As someone who knows firsthand I'm not sure what I'd do in the same situation. Probably would've lost my cool. I do like what another poster suggested in publicly humiliated him.

I agree with this 100%. Uncovering a heinous crime =/= escalating an insult that was sent privately.

I also support citizens tackling a crazed man with a gun, but wouldn't support them tackling someone that litters. If you see those stances as hypocritical then I'm not sure what to tell you.

But if some random starts shit talking you while sitting right next to you, you're damn well within reason to call them out. And the woman did not expose his face, hardly "shitty behavior".
