I can't wait to see the Alan Wake gameplay, but since is Remedy, I'm completely sure I'll love it. Alan Wake, Control, Max Payne are some of my favourite games ever and are all from Remedy, only time I've been a little bit disappointed has been Quantum Break, but is still a game I enjoyed a lot.

I thought the first one was pretty overrated, but I did like the setting. This looks alright but its a wait for gamepass job for me

Sam seemed really nervous on stage. Poor guy was shaking.

Anyways... did you guys notice the really nice bullet impact wounds on the deer dude? This game might have some Dead Island 2 style gore tech too...

in general, looked really promising and a clear high point of the show. Will be there day 0 like always with Remedy.

Looks good but I was hoping to see something besides that cabin sequence which they already showed (in trailer format)

Looking good! Alan 1 nailed the atmosphere but the combat were lacking imo. If they can improve in that area it could be a great game 💪

It looks great, but I think it's too REvil for my taste.

That being said, it's Alan Wake, I'll definitely be playing It on Day One.

I think graphically it looks damn good. On the level of Callisto Protocol. Hopefully better than Callisto when its seen in person. Better than the Resi Evil remakes. Probably won't look this good in performance mode tho which sucks. There might be some survival horror/3rd person up-close camera burnout tho amongst gamers tho.

Character models look pretty good. Her hair looks great. Animations are hugely better than the original/remastered.

Environment looks ok. I like the art direction, but it doesn't seem any more detailed than something like TLOU Part 2. It certainly doesn't look much better than RE2R. That said, it depends what they do with it and how much physics interaction there is. Lighting looks good.

Dialogue is meh. I love Remedy but I hate the writing in their games 😂

Sam made it sound like you start as the FBI chick, then part way in you can switch between her and Alan. I don't think it's freely switchable like GTA 5 because he talked about interaction points… but it also sounded like once you get to a certain point you can switch to Alan and play his story through to almost the end. I'm guessing if you don't keep switching the story still progresses for both characters and you just miss out on the other side of the events.

Need to see more. They haven't really shown us anything interesting yet… but I do appreciate the lack of post processing in her gameplay. Hopefully it isn't horrendous while playing as Alan in the Dark Place… but I bet it will be.

Remedy makes these games for much cheaper than other AAA titles. Control had a 30 million euro budget, for example.

Feels like a smart way to run a studio, so a bit surreal seeing people complain about the visuals here. Especially when it's $60
