Eg. see the likes of 'Tech Lead' that basically built their entire brand solely on past employment 'advice' about big-tech brand names.
Basically it has nothing to do with impact they generated (or not) for the company, it's the other way around.

She claims she wrote for the game also but her name isn't in the credits and a GoW developer flat out said "if your name isn't in the credits, you didn't work on the game". Other than a couple industry type white knights that want to stick her, literally no one has ever said she wrote for the game, and she won't clarify what she did, so there it is.
