Slaine you beautiful motherfucker, I would have been on your team if you didn't kill the guy who protected you and name you his son although he tried to murder your princess before.

Slaine seemed badass until you realized his plan depends on the fact that no one else would get it in the way of the barrages until he baited Inaho to the exact location at the exact time, providing that Inaho fell for it, which is even more in doubt considering it's a coincidence that Inaho was there in the first place while he was fighting the count. But whatever, enjoy your one shining moment, Team Slaine, you guys bagged this episode.

That's the thing that's most troubling for you in this series? That two people calculated a barrage of lasers or whatever would circle the planet and hit X spot in Y minutes?

There was a god damn sword kataphrakt. THAT SUNK.

It didn't sink, it was crushed by pressure from the massive steam explosion.

It's pretty funny how they could never come up with another mecha concept remotely as interesting and menacing as the first one :( based Gen. Only that one could give Inaho some serious challenge, need of team work and days? of planning. For everything else he just thinks of something in the moment.

Slaine's 'plotting' was a load of crap btw. "producer's convenience.jpg" pretty much describes any and all of Slaine's actions so far.

So the plan was halfbaked and halfass and full of holes? The same can be applied to all of Inaho's plans because the series has shit writing. Not a really good argument.

Ep. 15

Slaine confirmed as a Macchiavellian super-genius, who managed to create a plan to oust control of the Vers Empire during intense emotional instability.

Yeah, my main complaint, shit (but entertaining!) writing aside is that the Vers Kataprakt designs are so boring and downhill after the very interesting first one. Count Sazzboum's Kataphract is literally the first 3 or four Kats combined into one robot. Let me guess, the end game Kat will be two Count Sazzboum Kat - combined!

I guess that Kill la Kill soundtrack import worked out well for Aniplex, because they're doing it again for the first Aldnoah Zero OST:

https://www.facebook.com/AniplexUSA/posts/1038843016129643
THIS JUST IN: Aldnoah.Zero fans, Aniplex of America has just announced that they will release the ALDNOAH.ZERO Original Soundtrack CD (IMPORT) on 2/10/2015! Get your pre-orders in today on the official homepage: www.AldnoahZeroUSA.com
Direct preorder link at Right Stuf: http://www.rightstuf.com/i/aoa6212

As an amusing point of fact: the OST retails on Amazon Japan for about 3400 yen, and even after factoring in the 1100 yen in shipping/handling to ship it to North America, that's still only about $38 (at current exchange rates). Right Stuf is selling it for $35 before shipping costs.

edit: even cheaper from CDJapan, apparently, though they've only got 2 in stock right now.

When Inko is dead, the only one who'll be able to save Inaho from Slaine's #masterplan will be that one random friend who got sucked into the void in episode 2 or so.

No, he's the eye.

Are you sure? I was under the impression that the reason the princess does not wake up is that Inahos robo-eye is actually a soul-trap and there she remains, literally out of Inahos sight. I mean, its right there in the OP and everything..... >_>

What do you mean, the timeline does not add up? Pffft. I scoff at your feeble attemps of using solid logic to counter anime imbued nonsense.

I'm pretty its gonna be Sauz's waifu who is actually Inaho's
and Slaine's *gasp*
mom who will save every one.

Just finished watching season 1 and immediately jumped into season 2. LOL fantastic. I can't believe Inaho survived that but whatever, I'll gladly watch another season of him wiping the floor with those god mechs. His take down of Frozen Elysium was beautiful

Had to pause.

I'm really getting sick of that tired old bit where [insert Terran] is a in bind and about to die when Inaho's voice cracks over the radio as he saves the day in the nick of time.

I've lost count how many times this has happened.

Slaine smiling brightens the day. I love seeing the acts that he performs as he continues on his rise to become the next supremely ultimate overlord emperor with his trusty Harklight.

I thought the earth defense was pretty good and different from others to not feel samey.
Considering that they did hold out for quite some time and actually had no casualties at all and could still defeat the foe. A little laser from the Duecalian is much different than Inaho just completely rushing in to do the damage himself (which I love) but I liked seeing that the people on Earth can still manage with little to no help

I don't care whether you hate him or not, Slaine's bits are always the most interesting and in service of the plot.

I wouldn't say it's just Slaine, but Martian side as a whole is more interesting. Factional politics, backdoor alliances, underhanded schemes, and potential betrayals. Even if it boils down to Slaine/Harklight vs. other Counts, that still allows for more intrigue than Terran side, where the only extended subplot so far, aside from general fight for defense and survival, was Marito's PTSD and Rayet being a Martian. Both of which were fairly pointless.

Boring episode...

That's not so much of a strategy, the enemy mech was destroyed by the most obvious solution, you don't need some genius to figure it out.

I only fear for Godnaho's safety as long as this guy is still alive.

He calculated the shots last episode and I have a feeling he decoded the Terran messages about resupply ships this episode. Basically he does the thinking Slaine is incapable of doing.

Marito finally got off the sauce and got a handle on his PTSD so what does the doctor do? Hand him some booze. GG.

Slaine is the Martian side of the story. It's through his perspective that we learn more about them. It was through him that we met the Emperor, discovered Saazbaum's plot, and learned more about the Martians in general.

You do realise it was Slaine's idea to off Count Saazbaum the way he did, right? I'm getting tired of people denying him his feats because that doesn't fit the narrative they've spun in their heads. Slaine is a competent player of the game that has proven himself formidable time and again. Get over it and accept it.

Huh? What did I say? Did I screw up again? :(
Simply Question: Is it possible to describe Inaho as being extremely autistic? No hear me out and this is in no way meant to be disparaging to him or real people with actual autism. He lacks social skills and general emotion plus he doesn't seem to have too much passion for anything. These lack of typical abilities most humans have has allowed his brain to have an abnormal focus on information processing.

My follow up theory is that when people who are close to him dies, he becomes even more powerful because he totally detaches their existence from his memory and its like a RAM and SSD upgrade plus some additional cores. Extrapolated, I feel Unko is worth at least an additional Quad-core CPU and Inaho's sister is probably an 12 core Xenon processor with 4 Tesla GPUs. It'll be a significant upgrade when they both die.

wow, is this aldnoah zero? Marito and grunts are going to do something on their own for a change?

.......

no way! hahahahaha

Slaine is turning into Liquid Ocelot, Inaho was always Snake. He now just has the solideye too.

I don't think this episode did enough fellating of Inaho. They could've shown more of the Earth troops being complete morons and just running into the enemy mech before he saves the day.

Maturity, bitches.
You have to remember that the Knights are pretty crappy fighters that rely on their machines too much. That's why once a weakness is exposed they go down so easily.

I mean this week's cannon fodder basically didn't know what to do once he realised Earth's forces weren't going to back down.

I think the Martians far more incompetent. I find it hard to believe they're having this hard of a time as one high schooler is able to balance out their otherwise shear overwhelming force and technology.

It must be hard reconciling the idea that he's competent with the fact that his princess is in a coma/tank because he helped the guy that had vowed to murder her.

Terminaho doesn't hold past Slaine fandom against his disciples. There's still time to denounce Slaine's wickedness and convert.

Mars would have won multiple times over by now. The only reason they haven't is some mix of "because they were afraid after what happened to Saazbaum" and "because they needed a season 2 for this anime"
