Also lol @ the fact Inaho would've been merked alongside Saazbaum if Inko hadn't shown up. Slaine had both of them pegged, he just hadn't anticipated a fourth party.

I mean, the butler did the calculations, so really Slaine is still the same old jobber.

By your logic Inaho is a jobber too since he relies on his eye for everything now. Keep hating though. :)

The eye, by the way, begs the qeustion why none of the Kats have the same technology to calculate for accuracy in space combat? Seems odd that they would build these hi-tech mechs without the level of aim assist that can be programmed in a single bionic eye.

And without the kataphrakt telling him the future Slaine would get smoked easily as Inaho seems to better pilot, but Inaho's eye, and Slaine's kataphrakt is part of their ability to fight, so I won't use it against them.

I'm going to guess Earth can't produce enough of this magic analytical eyes for everyone to get one or its a prototype. Word gets out that this kid has Martian kataphrakt kills on his belt, when no one else has, they give it to him.

The eye adds to Godnaho's skills while the Butler points out Slaine's jobberific deficiencies.

They're probably worse off than they seem from the massive space fleet they're fielding. They probably don't have the resources to really outfit the ships and kats they do have with the best tech*

*outside of the fanciest mechs

They're basically Zeon, trying to field Mobile Armors while the Feds are like "Lol, here's a million GM's, have fun"

What anime are you watching? No one dies in this show. NO ONE!

Slaine was taking out Kats in space in the first episode and shooting them down from a long distance without the need of his ability. He has the superior mech and he has presumably been using it for 19 months now. Which of the two is the better pilot remains speculative.

It's not outright stated but it seems as though everyone on the Terran side is simply using their own eyesight to aim and fire. Inaho is the only one to have been shown using calculations to determine the accuracy of his shots since the first season. It doesn't strike you as odd that he's the only that's thought of that since the beginning? There wouldn't be a need to give all the Kat pilots a magic eye as you put it, only to implement the technology behind it in the Kats themselves.

Slaine redeemed!

Good to see that he returns to his ruthless pragmatical self of the first episodes.

Still makes little sense that he wants to continue the war unless he tries to make peace in the next episodes and something stops him.

Inaho wouldn't be able to shoot crap in space without his robocop eyes because of all that magic space wind.

On earth, Inaho is better, in space, they both suck without their magic enhancements.

Who cares? Rayet is better than both of those losers combined.

Rayet is partly guilty for starting the war. A mere footsoldier she may have been, but she was party to killing Asseylum's double, so fuck her as well. Inko is the best girl anyhow.

I actually like that. It means then that Inaho is actually vulnerable.

Also, Inaho x Inko!! :)

Maturity, bitches.
So, why did it come off that both sides were getting ready to fight at the same time? That would mean they arranged when to fight, which would be ridiculous.

"Hiya, do you want to fight Tuesday night?"
"Sorry, I'm having my hair cut then, what about Wednesday?"
"I'm afraid that's Fried Red Sand night for the Knights and they'd be ever so upset to miss that. How about Thursday?"
"Thursday's clear in my diary."
"Oh good, Thursday it is then. I look forward to blowing up your people."
"Same. Lovely to speak to you again"
"Toodleoo!"

One day I realized that sadness is just another word for not enough coffee.

Their bases are passing by each other in their non-circular orbits so both sides are taking the opportunity to launch sorties.

Why the fuck do I know this what a complete waste of brainspace.

It's kinda strange UEF let her join the force like nothing happened, well i guess they need anyone can fight.

Huh? What did I say? Did I screw up again? :(
I just knew they were going to pull this bullshit and called it a week ago. I knew they were going to introduce the concept of a grey hero and it feels as shitty as I feared. I still wish for death.

I heart skipped a beat with Unko there. Next to the princess, Unko is my second candidate for Inaho's OTP... the captain is third.

so what was idaho blabbing about his how he can redirect his brain cells to micromanage his mind better or something?

Awesome episode. Gotta hand it to Slaine, his plan was pretty devious. Would have had both Godnaho and the count but Inko saving the day there. The heel came a lot sooner than I thought it would.

Was confused in the beginning of the episode though. The transition from last ep to this wasnt the smoothest.

That lack of smoothness was the writing team trying to save the story from the fuck-up of a character they created. Going form a selfish incompetent good-for-nothing to a Moses-like leader in three episodes is about the kind of bullshit you would expect from people with no vision of where they're going.

Sounded awfully similar to the "humans don't use all of their brains, but this device lets him do so." I certainly hope they really didn't mean that.

wait was the first half the eps a flashback to events before the end of last weeks?

Can't really tell.

Yeah thats what I thought at first as well. You mean to tell me they clashed and everyone went home peacefully afterwards? Like huh.

I think until we find out Slaines real motivation, I'm gonna reserve my judgment. I always hoped he was the ruthless type to take the empire down from within but its looking like Slaine wants to continue to wage war against Earth as well as take the top spot in the empire.

However I do have to say him sparing Saazbaum to make sure the princess had a chance to live and not letting his emotions rule him in such a short moment is pretty respectable. The other princess probably knows what Slaine is up to anyways.

Still, Inaho all day. #BleedOrange

I don't think Slaine cares so much about ruling the empire so much as reforming it. He is a really idealistic guy who didn't even grow up on Earth, so it is not surprising that he doesn't really feel anything for Earth's side of the war. On the other hand, he grew up on Mars pretty much as a slave, and he bonded with the culture and society there even though he was mistreated. He definitely has an affinity for Martians in general, and the suffering of the normal populace. I think a large part of this is also due to how he sees Martian society through the lens of the princess, and perhaps he sees himself as fulfilling her dream in her stead.

Either way, this is probably going to end badly because he doesn't have the experience or the real support to see the dream through, but simply actively moving forward with his plan will probably shake things up big time. In the end, he probably just wants to see a fairer and better world for the Martian people.

Episode 15

I can't tell if this episode was fantastic or terrible. Fuck it, you've finally won me over, Slaine.

Get close to Lemrina. Marry her. Become next in line to the throne. Kill off emperor. Kill off Lemrina. Become emperor. Middle finger to everyone in the process. I'm back on #TeamSlaine if this comes to pass.

They were fighting when the two bases orbits caused them to pass near each other, so yes they would have been both planning to fight then.
