Well, miracles are impossible so I guess thats the connection? At least thats how I took it.

Keep in mind that "flower language" was an Asian concept that was later imported to the west, and that the modern rose originated in China. Taken together, this creates an altogether superior interpretation of that line.

While I appreciate your precise insight into the eloquent language of flowers, Slaine apparently doesn't do a good job at communicating the concept, because all that's said is that one of the blue rose's meanings is "kiseki" (miracle) and the other is "fukanou" (impossibility).

It actually is pretty fitting for the situation, so it's a shame the writing doesn't trust the audience enough to grasp a nuanced concept like "hope against unattainable love".

It gets the job done. It's one of those things that is pretty hard to get accurate, on point and uncomplicated.

Maybe it would have been better/ more accurate if it was "That's right, stand there and act like a big shot" or something like that. But considering that the moron actually did stand right there and monologue, if was very fitting.

Who say Lemrina is being forced? You are forgetting Lemrina is posing as Asseylum. She and Slaine planned it out that 'Asseylum' is engaged to Slaine without the real Asseylum knowing and consent. Therefore the real Asseylum is being forced into a marriage she has no control of.
