All Game pass announcements from Show (Present and Future)

This may be a dumb question, but if you have Game Pass can you download the games you want to play or does it only offer to play in the cloud?

This would be a deal breaker for me if they force you to play in the cloud and not have an option to download the game.

You download them. As many as you want. Streaming is just a bonus.

Now that's brilliant! Game Pass is a must then if you're on Xbox.
Yeah its really dope yo, you can mess around and fill up a hard drive quick when you get to browsing gamepass on console or PC. I filled up two SSDs on my computer and have no idea when ima get to all this stuff lol

I have a PS5 and an old PC, idea was to build a new PC but considering how that's impossible I was thinking of just trying to get the Series X, love the Forza Horizon and HALO series. We'll see how things develop in the next few months but glad Xbox is all in this gen.

See the "Hero Edition" on Steam, I have that and beat that version and uninstalled it. I wonder if anything is left over from that install that may be impacting this one, im gonna try deleting this GP Installation, removing it, and cleaning up my Steam folder then reinstalling - maybe that'll do it

If it doesn't work for me then im fine with it, but I really wanted to test it out and see if it had that console cross save feature thats really dope in some of the other Console+PC Games that are offered on Gamepass. That was my whole reason for even downloading it on my series x and my gamepass account
It does have cross save between the Microsoft Pc version and console. I was surprised that it actually supported Play Anywhere, bought it expecting only to play on the Series S.

Every single game is downloadable.

Oh wow thats crazy, thanks for confirming. In my opinion thats one of the best features that they don't talk about enough, it's pretty crazy. I game on PC upstairs in my house, and on my Series X in my living room downstairs. I honestly didn't even know about that feature until last year when I'd started playing Forza Horizon 4 on my PC and got pretty good progress in it...randomly installed it on my Series X to play on the tv down there and everything, I mean everything I'd done had loaded right up on console and I picked up right where I left off. Said what the hell and loaded Ori on my Xbox after playing it on PC mostly and all of my progression was right there, it was seamless

Thats an insanely dope feature and for someone who jumps back and forth between my PC and console? Gamechanger indeed

I got it to work. Oddly enough I went to the Minigames menu, loaded Virtua Fighter 5, exited out of it, and instead of taking me back to the main menu the game just booted chapter 1. Then when I exited the game and restarted it, it works now lol.

Profitable/Not Profitable doesn't concern me one bit as a gamer. That is Microsoft's business and their strategy, I'll let them figure it out. I do know one thing though, once Game Pass really takes off, and it's secured it's future, the price will go up like Netflix but I think it'll still be worth it.

The Ascent is probably the only game from this year's releases that I really want to play, rest is more like "cool, I'll try it out.

As long as they keep giving these insane deals it's an absolute no brainer though. Just bought 3 months of PC GamePass for 1€ for like the 4th time.

This second half of 2021 is where Gamepass starts going serious, on the last couple years MS has been putting some of their first party games like Flight Simulator, Grounded, Wasteland 3 etc which are fine but nothing really epic, it had Forza Horizon 4 day one but that was 3 years ago, and same with Gears of War 5 but that's it, also some nice third party games but almost all weren't day 1.

Now in 6 months we're getting two big AAA's like Forza horizon 5 and Halo, also back4blood day 1 which is huge, Psychonauts 2 and AOE 4 (this one on PC only until release on 2022 for Xbox) and some nice looking indies like 12 minutes or The ascent. All day 1 , and all in 6 months from now, imho on day 1 stuff, this half year will close to last 2-3 years together, and its not stoppiing after that, 2022 looking huge aswell, and these are supposed to be the last "mediocre" years of Xbox

The competition should be really concerned about the landscape in two or three years… I really don't see how they will be able to compete? Microsoft disrupting the entire industry now. GamePass has been great already so far, but they're taking it to another level entirely now.

My friend who owns PS5 liked the show and want a subscription like GP, So that he can try out unique looking games 12 minutes. Somerville nd all without spending money.

He bought Ratchet now saving money for Horizon FW if it comes otherwise Farcry 6.

I looked at him and smile coz i can experience all these unique games without spending extra and buy Horizon too.

On Xbox, i have more unique and diverse games to play than any other consoles imo.

Did you not recommended PS Now?Sounds like it would fit his needs.
