A little on the edge with the high note (amazing that she sustained it that long, nonetheless), but Carrie knocked it out of the park with that one. :)

I thought that all star medly was pretty damn good. Much better than anything I have seen on the Grammys or the MTV Awards in the past few years.


Not a bad night for Carrie. Wins a car, access to a private jet, a million dollar contract and American Idol (this will probably be one of the most watched episodes ever).

I'm glad she won. She went from a complete NOBODY--who grew up on a farm @_@--to becoming the 4th American Idol.

Its a start, it wouldnt have re-invented rock but its definately a start. There is too much rap, r&b and country coming from america imo. It just shows that the average american doesnt really dig rock anymore.

it wouldn't have helped. Anyone who has to go on American Idol to get famous is the exact opposite of what rock music needs right now. That dude is about as "rock" as Avril Lavigne or Ashley Simpson.

edit: the chick with the annoying voice got fucking HOT! I told you fuckers not to vote her off!

I agree to some extent, but you gotta get exposed somehow.... its not all money and babes being in a band.

say what you will about Fred Durst, but at least the guy made it the old fashioned way (or by giving one of the guys from Korn a terrible tattoo), not because a bunch of 12 year old girls like his hair.
 
I dunno, kinda felt the whole ending was just blah. And if Bo's idea of rock is skynyrd, then who cares really. But they'll both have records, both get money. Guess I'll just wait till Carrie poses for playboy. :D

Compared to Kelly Clarkson's finale, that sucked all kinds of ass.

Fitting really.

Vonzell's performance outclassed them all tonight.
 
Jeez, I love how all the former contestants actually sang pretty well compared to the the awful tirades that they did when they were still in the competition. Scott still looked like he was dead on the stage though.
 
I couldnt really choose a winner between the two, I thought both Bo and Carrie were excellent and they were the two who deserved to be the finalists. It doesnt really matter who wins though. They will both get record deals, they will both be rich and famous. I have my fingers crossed that Carrie will eventually be on the cover of playboy magazine :D

American Idol did a really good job this season, the last three were definately the best singers in the show. I stopped watching the show for a bit because I couldnt stand Anthony being there, he was awful, but I did prefer him over Constantine.
 
Personally, it sounds a little too over-produced to me.

But I'm happy for her: she was a nobody on a farm (a fucking farm), and then she has a #1 single on Billboard. Good for her. :)
