Lee - I thought this was 2nd or 3rd best performance of the night. His voice is awesome. You guys shut the fuck up k thx bai. He has that edge in his voice that makes it sound good and he made a boring totally digitized song turn into something that felt a bit more rockerish.

Alex - Zzzzz.. sang well but zzzzz

Tim - Sang well but so safe and still miles below all the others

Andrew - I was excited he was doing genie in a bottle.. only to find that he never changed the register of his voice throughout the whole song.. He may actually be in trouble now

Aaron - Bye Aaron that was terrible

Casey - Well sung.. safe but still good

Toddrick - Yea.. no more of your dancing around.. Broadway yes.. American Idol no.. He's cocky and can sing.. but not well..

Michael - I don't get the hype to this performance. people crying .. and simon saying best of all live shows.. It felt so fucking normal.. what the hell was so great? I mean yea top 3 performance of the night easily but not that amazing.


Guys to go: Toddrick and Aaron (Maybe Andrew)

Girls to go: Kelly Clarkson Song Chick (First one who sang yesterday and is young with like a grandma), and Paige (AKA I blamed my crying on Michael Jackson)

No, I just fear that the #2 death spot and faint praise might have done her in. She's my favorite this season.

Are you a voice coach? The guy was good, but not perfect. I felt like he just wasn't hitting the sweet spot with the song, but that he pulled off a nice performance regardless.
 
I haven't been watching much of this season, but the little glimpses I get give me the impression that Simon and Kara are a little closer than just friends.

Kara's known to be kind of whorish, although a lot of people speculate she just doesn't like Ellen. Which is weird. How can anyone hate Ellen?

Point missed.

He had an amazing note there, but what really made it great was the performance itself. See, he wasn't just singing the song, he was living the song. That's why people loved it, that's why the Jury loved it.
 
So far this season has been underwhelming for me... I just can't see people like Crystal or Mike being frontrunners in previous seasons when you have Adam Lambert, David Cook, or Carrie Underwood.

Crystal seemed confused in Week 1 what she was supposed to do; but then she realized the judges meant "ham the fuck out of every song and add a shitton of melisma to everything" and now she's God.
 
Finally watched this week. Crystal and Mike are the best by far, but I'd say there's a rather significant gap in talent from Crystal to Mike. Crystal is probably the only from this season that I think could stand toe to toe with the best of American Idol. She's pretty awesome.

And interestingly enough, this is the SECOND time in which Ryan put BOTH my picks next to each other and said that one is staying and the other is going home. I seem to be pretty good at THAT =p

Ah! Her performance was pretty atrocious so, no surprise.

ETA: Well fuck. Lee (and Tim) are in; Todrick out.

Tim Urban should be taking that stupid ass bewildered look he's always got on back home. Always looks like he's lost and can't believe he still exists. He should be going home.
 
This could've been a good season. Alex, Lilly, and to an extent Katelyn, were some of the few contestants I actually looked forward to each week.
