The AI band/whatever sucks total ass by the way. Their sound mixing is so fucking horrible, there are no words. I laughed when they were questioning what the Stones might think if they were listening to the reggae version.

Yeah, I've always thought they were pretty poor. I thought they'd improve as the seasons went on, but they really haven't. For some songs they're serviceable, but for others they're pretty bad.

Crystal and Siobhan are the strongest in different ways: Crystal is the most consistent, Siobhan has the greatest range in her voice and is quirky enough to try pretty much anything.

Bowersox reminds me of Melinda Dolittle. She is maxed out on how good she can be (very early) and will be seen as "losing ground" to the others as they keep improving every week. Perception is a big factor in Idol voting.

Here's the thing; up until say, when David Cook came on, it wasn't the "thing" where everyone had to have special arrangements of everything. You just had to ham the fuck out of the vocals.

Now, the judges literally expect every contestant to come up with alternate arrangements of everything in a style that "suits" the artist. I can see how that can be taxing on the band; I'm not entirely sure that's what they are there for.

I hope Didi wins, like her voice the most from this year's contestants.
I like her appearance. Even if she just looks like a slightly more attractive Brooke White.

Also, I figured out what it is about Andrew Garcia that bugs me. He's just a bad version of Kris Allen that unlike Kris can't do anything BUT acoustic covers of pop songs (and not as good as "Heartless" either).

MILEY CYRUS MENTORS THE TOP 11 FINALISTS ON "AMERICAN IDOL" TO PREPARE FOR BILLBOARD #1 HITS-THEMED PERFORMANCE SHOW TUESDAY, MARCH 23, ON FOX

Cyrus, Joe Jonas and Demi Lovato to Perform on Results Show Wednesday, March 24

Miley Cyrus will appear as a guest mentor on AMERICAN IDOL and help the Top 11 finalists - Didi Benami, Crystal Bowersox, Lee Dewyze, Andrew Garcia, Casey James, Aaron Kelly, Michael Lynche, Siobhan Magnus, Paige Miles, Katie Stevens and Tim Urban - prepare for their performances on a Billboard No.1 Hits-themed show airing Tuesday, March 23 (8:00-10:00 PM ET live/PT tape-delayed) on FOX.

Tune in to the results show the following night, Wednesday, March 24 (9:00-10:00 PM ET live/PT tape-delayed), to see Cyrus perform her hit "When I Look At You," watch Joe Jonas and Demi Lovato sing "Make A Wave," and find out who receives enough votes to stay in the competition and who is sent home.

Cyrus is the youngest-ever multi-platinum recording artist to have four No. 1 albums in less than three years. Her recently released EP, "The Time of Our Lives," features the No. hit "Party in the USA." Cyrus will next be seen on the big screen in "The Last Song," written by Nicholas Sparks and opening March 31. She also stars in the hit series "Hannah Montana," currently in its fourth season. The teen sensation is also the bestselling author of "Miles To Go," which shares her inspiring story, spanning from her Tennessee roots to her record-setting triumphs in TV, music and film. Additionally, Cyrus and designer Max Azria of apparel house BCBGMAXAZRIAGROUP, Inc. have teamed up to create Miley Cyrus & Max Azria, a new apparel line exclusive to Walmart.

Jonas, who appeared as a guest judge at the AMERICAN IDOL 9 auditions in Dallas, is a member of the Grammy-nominated Jonas Brothers along with his brothers, Kevin and Nick. The group debuted their third album, "A Little Bit Longer," at No.1 in August 2008 and has since gone Platinum in the United States and Platinum or Gold in 27 nations outside the U.S. With its debut, Jonas Brothers became the first group to have three albums in the Top 10 in a single week. Their current album "Lines, Vines and Trying Times," produced by John Fields, debuted at No.1 on the cable movie "Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam." He also stars as Joe Lucas, the fearless, attention grabbing lead singer of the group in the comedy series "JONAS," entering its second season in 2010.

Lovato is a talented musician whose sophomore album, "Here We Go Again," debuted in July 2009 appearing at No.1 on the Billboard 200, selling over 107,000 units in the first week. Her first album, "Don't Forget," was released in September 2008 and debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200. In Summer 2009, Lovato headlined her first tour, featuring special guest David Archuleta. Currently, Lovato stars as Mitchie Torres in the highly anticipated cable movie "Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam," a sequel to the hit movie "Camp Rock" which delivered a Platinum-certified soundtrack and introduced Lovato as a musical powerhouse.

She could give really good advice on how to get autotuned in post.

Explains the original "Teen Idols" theme, but I don't get why'd they change it, since that's what Miley is. The pre-performance clips are going to be hilarious, especially between Crystal and Miley.

They need to fix it. Next year will be a disaster. I forecast more Studio Plants and (obviously) less Simon.

Fucking Miley Cyrus?!?!

Her "voice" sounds like she sucked about 100 cracked glass cocks that shot gasoline.

WTF could she possibly be mentoring on? Oh wait with this groups lack of overall talent, maybe making it without it.

I've been thinking about it a lot lately, letting Siobhan brake up with me was a pretty piss poor decision on my part. She called a month later and admitted she was wrong and stuff, but I was such a tool that I was too proud to take her back because I was angry she broke up with me in the first place. So now what I'm thinking is, on a scale from 1 to Awesome, how good of an idea is it to tell her I'll take her back now? We've just been friends for awhile, but I think I'm going to try and win her back. Now I just have to figure out how. Wish me luck guys. It's only been 3 years, she's gotta still have feelings for me.... right...?

I'm sure that trying to get said girl back after she's achieved national fame will work REAL well.

why the f would somebody sing "against all odds"?

I think Paige's problem is that she keeps picking songs she likes instead of songs she can sing well.

I have accepted that this season, I will have to settle for Crystal being great, but predictable and Siobahn alternating "Dark and motown" every other week.

Poor Lilly and Alex :(

Bowersox rocks the hell out of the rest of the competition. The girl has skills. Almost everyone else has embarrassed themselves tonight.

Katie seems to not understand what pitchy is. SHE CANNOT STAY IN KEY. Her pleasing tone provides for a great cover, though.

lolwat joke post?

She sang "Think" on Top 20 and she's singing "Superstition" tonight.

Ugh Superstition, I'm gonna have to stare at the back of her throat for two minutes. Ever since they praised her for hitting that high note week 1, she doesn't stop screaming.

I just find her extremely not relevant and would never be as successful as Lee or Bowersox could be.

Didi crucified by Simon :lol (she definitely was pitchy all over the place but WAY better than the judges made her out to be)

And what the fuck is on Siobhan's head?

Crystal is really good, but until she stops singing essentially the same song every week, I probably won't care. Most of the songs considered a winner's best were outside of their genre (Fantasia/Summertime, Carrie/Alone, Kris/Heartless, David Cook/Hello or Billie Jean)

I hope next week's theme is extremely specific, so the contestants won't just pick something dumb that they like to hear.
