but it is ok to come unfit into national team camp because shit like that has to be spelled out by the head coach....

People have to take a break. Do we give it to them before the start of a NT training camp with some meaningless friendlies coming up or do they focus on their club season?

How long of a break should they get? Half the league is on 'break' at the end of October.

Look if Klinsmann wants MLS to play 11 months a year they should play 11 months a year, after all he is the national team coach.
Maybe they can play games in the bubble of cluelessness that must surround his beach house in Orange County...

Don't they play in similar conditions in Europe?

Europe is WAY colder than the US, after all the southern-most point in Germany is north of Maine!
Put the next MLS expansion team in Newfoundland!!

That's one benefit to the crappy American soccer system, none of our coaches have won the World Cup as a player but Arena went to Cornell and Bradley went to Princeton. The only mention of an education on Klinsmann's Wikipedia page is "he completed an apprenticeship as a baker in 1982"...

You think he even knows what the gulf stream is?

Europe seems warmer than New York right now, Helsinki's numbers would be a marked improvement over the last month or so.

or you could modify or get rid off playoffs so half the league isn't sitting on their asses in November and early December.

I know you're going to ignore this like everything else but are you seriously bringing this up?

Nah too hard. America is always right.

Yes let's list things that are never going to happen, an 11 month long season, getting rid of the playoffs, a winter schedule, promotion/relegation...

Like with pro/rel, Europe will get playoffs before America gets rid of them.

That's good bakin' weather.

Yeah and Texas and Florida are not in the top 10, how can that be?
Both are soccer hotbeds with huge populations, I'd have guessed both were in the top five easily.

Bet you they have tons issues of qualifying. (just clicked on this thread thinking it was CFB for some reason).
