Final, fucking lee.

Just woke up everyone in my sister's house in Galway screaming, "Grella." It's 2:15 in the morning.

Fun game. Giving up a goal three minutes in definitely wasn't fun but they battled back. Did Dax almost get in a fight before getting subbed off?

Also, I didn't even realize Orlando scored their second goal because there was something going on in the South Ward. Security came over and stuff. They kicked some guy out who, during the first half was wearing an Orlando jersey, sitting a couple of rows in front of me. Suddenly, the same guy was escorted out wearing a Red Bulls hoodie and, a few minutes later, was back a few rows in front of me.

What section were you in? Judderman and I normally sing together in 101. PM one of us if you want to meet up before the game next time.

Don't feel bad, we were just due. There's no way you guys don't make the play-offs this season.

The frustration is more due to the fact that the refs have fucked Orlando for 3 weeks in a row. How in the world they didn't call a red card on NYRB with a penalty awarded to Orlando City is frankly hard to even fathom. Totally changed the outcome of the game.

FK goal by Philly should not have counted, New England had no business being awarded a penalty and then this. It's just wrong.

So EoS is reporting that NYRB is in the midst of making a deal for Klose. Personally I'm not buying it, but it'd still be an interesting pickup.

Glad we finally won.

Klose? Eh. Signing a striker makes some sense, as BWP is our only decent one (sry Abang). Dude is fucking old though and his goal scoring for Lazio has slowed down a lot this season. He will be 38 in a couple of months.

There was an article recently about the Northern Guard not wanting someone to come in and bring MLS just for the sake of having it. That it had to be DCFC or they didn't want it, and I agree. They had better call it Detroit City, and it had better play nice with the existing everything.

100%. I have a season ticket for DCFC and while I'm not "everything MLS is terrible" the way some are, I'm not very thrilled about this right now. (It doesn't help that I don't have very high regard for Dan Gilbert in general.)

My ideal is that they join up with DCFC's ownership, whether buying them out or employing the existing DCFC as part of the academy system or what have you. If it's not City, I don't see myself being die-hard about it; maybe go to 1 or 2 games a year if I like the club (because it would be nice to see RBNY here), and I'd keep supporting DCFC. But this is years away if at all and right now, I'm still excited about us moving to a new stadium.

Yeah, I grew up across the river in Windsor so I keep tabs on things, and I've got some DCFC merch, too. Hoping to go to a game this summer. So I'm not entirely some outsider commenting here.

Due to the Minnesota naming shenanigans, I'm fully expecting MLS to say they can't use a fleur-de-lis because Montreal and they can't use City because Orlando/NYC. I'm expecting the league to give them some bland name with a flashy new logo and snub any existing interest in DCFC.

"But it's major league so it's okay" is the wrong way to go with this. Embrace the grassroots like they did Orlando City and you'll have a winner. Anything else and I'm happy to root against it.
