I hope I'm wrong. Would be amazing to just walk in on the 1st and score one.
I just like consistency, that's all, but importing is a nice option for those that don't care about the packaging.
It really isn't, but scalpers and low production make it annoying to collect these things. Not upsetting to me, as there are opportunities that pop-up, like Pit being in-stock on Christmas day.

Probably. I would guess that they probably found extra Pit Amiibo from their first shipments so they decided to put up rest of left over amiibo online. I would wage about 15-20. It would explain a lot about it being gone very fast.
I haven't heard a peep about my Shulk pre-order from EBGames, and I used this newfangled pre-order online and pick up in-store thing they set up, putting $5 down. Hope it goes well. The Amiibo situation in Canada is probably worse than any other country they're officially sold.
I'm bound and determined to get extra for this thread besides getting Rosalina early on the 1st the only other reason I'm going out at all is to get some exclusives + extras for AmiiboGaf

Wouldn't they get some spare Shulks if they got pre-orders? I was told whenever I pre-order a more obscure game from them, they tend to order an extra or two so they can put it on the shelf on the off chance someone else might be interested in it. Heck, sometimes it's because of someone pre-ordering that they even stock certain niche games.

Yeah, that's why I'm importing the exclusives [Shulk/Lucario/Meta Knight] from Japan. I just don't trust that stores will receive enough to satisfy demand.
Now if I can just get an order for Rosalina, Canada probably won't get that one at all [since all Target locations here are shutting down]. :/
Agreed, Sonic is still very popular, so I imagine while he'll probably be a decent seller, he won't be that hard to find.

Honestly I feel like the ones everyone thinks will be moderately common like megaman/Sonic will wind up being the rare ones and exclusives won't be don't know why just somewhere deep down thats how I feel.

Amazon Japan has not only declined my girlfriend's debit card, but it's declining mine now too (still waiting for customer service to get back to me). Even though I used the exact same card to order Math and WiiFit Trainer from Amazon japan.
And those Villager Amiibos in Ohio where a bust, even though it says they're in stock, they don't have them.
Now I need to restart my search for a Villager -____-

Shulk is exclusive to a store that has had low stock for past exclusives. It's for a not so popular character in a niche franchise.

I think we're all severely underestimating Meta Knight's potential rarity. My local Best Buys literally just get preorders in for rare new Amiibo. My local one only got my Little Mac, Falcon, and Pit store pickups as the ONLY ONES FOR THE ENTIRE STORE.

While we're talking trinity, I never liked the name Holy Trinity, just doesn't make any sense to me. Calling Pit CF and Mac "Holy" also doesn't make sense. I have heard "The Three Amiibos" and I like it but what do you call Wave 2's rare three? Maybe like Pokemon called the final boss' The Elite Five (right?), you can say The Elite Three for a certain wave. Anyways just wanted to bring that up.
In real Amiibo news, TRU is having a 4 for $44 Amiibo sale from January 25-31. Not a great sale, not too bad if you need commons. The $9 Walmart sale this morning was better but their stock is even worse.

No one knows what will be rare. Just speculation.
I don't think he will be. I personally think only Shulk and Ike are ones I feel confident will be rare. But you can't predict what will be rare as there are too many factors. And things can become rare months later for whatever reason.

yeah, I just successfully ordered a Pit off GS.com.
I think the original was in jest with the whole Father, Son thing you had going on with Marth and Villager. Wii Fit Trainer also looks like a spirit, I guess? I've seen a lot of names for rares other than them; Unicorn, Rares, Impossible, etc. But for the most part Marth/Villager/WFT I always see as the Trinity.

Ike might surprise us due to his Codename Steam integration, which is probably also the reason behind the Marth restock. Granted they could just give Ike incredibly low stock at his release and then put out way more of him in March when Codename Steam releases.
I don't think Rosalina, Bowser, Meta-Knight, and King Dedede will be too bad for similar reasons. Granted two of those being store exclusives might change that.

Do we have a list of geographic locations for the Amiibros here in case they find extras of the rare Amiibos? I'm in a pretty populated area and I wouldn't be surprised if there are other people in this thread nearby.

I'm gonna be gonna be honest here. But outside of Bowser, I don't see any eve 4 and onwards being common. I see them having low support from Nintendo and them the entire lot ending up like Captain Falcon and Pit.
Not what people wanna hear but that's how I see Amiibos going. Wave 1 and Wave 2 will always be there but 3 and onwards is an online job(for the most part).
He's probably one of the best though.

Ugh, I'm sorry guys I have to vent a little here.
It's been really stressful lately in my life, my job has become unbearable but I have to continue to go while I search for a new job because I need the healthcare. All the while I feel my health continues to deteriorate because of how sedentary the job is, and the awkward hours making it difficult to find time to go exercise.
On top of that finding a new job has been extremely frustrating and stressful, and juggling if I should just quit my current job now while I search for a new job, because I'm just so unhappy with it.
Everytime I check this thread I get even more stressed thinking about how I have to monitor this thread for pre orders and stuff, it's starting to get to me. It all sounds silly as I type this out, because their simply little toys.
Anyways long story short, I feel I may just skip out on trying to get wave 4 pre orders the instant they drop and just hope I get them later. It'll be one less thing to worry about, something that I actually have control over.
However, you guys have been a great community and seeing everyone help each other find amiibos is really uplifting, so don't ever change AmiiboGAF
