Marth and Villager arrived from Amazon.de today! Wasn't expecting them for another few days but yep they are here! Packaging is flawless. Marth's sword is a little bent but it's not a huge deal. His face looks good though.
Getting the other 3 from Wave 2 today too so I'll have a full set.

I thought it was 1 Coin = $1. So $100 for Marth isn't that good....
Considering the climate for Amiibo's right now, especially a Marth, it could be ALOT worse. Still though, punkmaggit got a Marth and that's no easy feat so again congratulations.

Just got my Pit from Amazon. Feels so good to get the rares/hard to find done for now. Also preordered Dedede, Ike, and Mega Man this morning when I was ordering the LE Majora's Mask. I feel like these might be the tougher ones to get (outside of the exclusives of course)
DDD and Ike are sold out in Canada so yeah

I'm not sure if Dedede will be as rare seeing as Kirby is a modestly popular series (and Canvas Curse launches around that time and he's compatible). Ike for sure (based purely on Marth's rarity) and Shulk would be my next best bet.

Is that pricing in Euros? Man. I'm not sure if that's a good deal or not.
I'm expecting Bowser to be the most common of Wave 3, considering he's the most well-known. Maybe Sonic being 2nd common (though maybe uncommon since I expect him to sell more).
I feel Sheik will be uncommon to rare. Seems the more "obscure" a character is = higher chance of being rare.

I didn't follow the whole discussion, did they ship too many or are Amiibos just not as popular in Europe? Do we have any data?
So I've gained this muscle memory from Melee in which whenever I score a kill, I immediately taunt (because if you ended the match in the middle of a taunt, you got more points). After 13 years, I still do it, even against human opponents sometimes, unless I remember not to taunt.
Recently I scanned my Pikachu Amiibo into Smash 4 and fought against it a bunch. Leveled it up to 20. In the process, I taunted a couple times upon killing my Amiibo, which I felt kinda bad about because, y'know, he's my little guy.
Now my Amiibo seems to have learned this behavior. It occasionally taunts after killing me. Feels bad and hilarious at the same time. Did it actually learn this from fighting me, or is it just part of all of their AIs?

It's like my birthday today! Got my Marth/Villager from amazon.de earlier and now I got Pit, Falcon, and Luigi! BB stuff packed in a box and packed like they knew what they were packing was collectible and not junk.

I preordered dedede since he looks awesome, but he's also gonna work with the new Kirby game. You'd think Nintendo would make enough. But they're Nintendo.

I managed to import/order online a japanese Marth from Nippon Yasan, a normal Marth, a Diddy Kong, and a Pit from amazon. Got the Marths, but still waiting on Diddy/Pit.
Pit has been a nightmare to get, even online.
Went ahead and pre ordered all of Wave 3...except Rosalina. Will import/try to from japan if possible. Found her for $38 from japan (with free shipping) which is a bit more than i would like. Hoping to get her from Nipon Yasan/AmiAmi once it's available.
Also, slightly OT, but I managed to get the MM LE pre order that bring the Skull Kid. That was frustrating, and it costs me $58 from gamestop (pre order/paid in full)

That's kind of crazy. I have just been sort of intermittently checking since he came out ... but nothing very frequent. Just noticed it today and got one.
I only want it for MK8. It's the only one I want, I was so sour when they all up and vanished before I could grab one in a store.
Really? The region, a couple of letter on carton, gives it more value?
I thought it would be a worthless feature since everything is identical except for the Japanese writings on the package instead of English.

It's for collectors. Basically the US version is rarer, and therefore holds more perceived value. The Europe versions though are becoming more rare and their value is rising. A European Marth goes for about $70 last I checked. Japanese goes for about $50 but I figure that's because of Japanese letters instead of English.
Those that plan on opening them and using them shouldn't care less. Though I have no doubt there are ill informed individuals that don't know any better.

No. Rosalina is also unavailable to pre-order from them. Every where that sells Amiibos apart apart from Shopto and GAME(places that take pre-orders) will be selling all the Wave 3 Amiibos as normal, which means having to scramble to get them in retailers and online. If you do end up finding somewhere to pre-order Shulk, Rosalina and Meta Knight, send a PM my way please

Yeah that's Euros. But it does explain why Germany have so many on Amazon. The UK is competitive as heck, but we still have Villagers, Marths and Wii Fit Trainers. Little Mac is the insanely hard to find one. However Pit and Captain Falcon are quite common here. They're stocked in retailers and online with little to no effort to buy. However Kirby is slightly hard to find. If it wasn't for the EU to US packaging I'd happily trade with everyone else on GAF because we do have a lot of Pits, Villagers etc.
That being said, if anyone in Europe has a Wii Fit Trainer, PM me because I would happily trade one of my Little Macs for her.
(I know it should be in the Amiibo trading thread but that's not going to get checked as much)

uh yea? All my amiibo are outside of there boxes like they should be and are all level 50 in smash bros and i unlocked all my racing costumes in mario kart 8, and i use them with hyrule warrriors to get my free daily items.
Those euro prices are quite high.. UK is not that much better, it's cheaper than the rest of the EU depending on where you buying from but compared to USA it's a bit more expensive.
Yeah I think Ike will for sure especially after what happened with Marth. I think triple D will be "fox rare" but I pre-ordered him just to be safe.It will be interesting to see what happens with exclusives. Shulk will end up being the rarest of them all because GS will probably only fulfill preorders and not get much more if any. I don't think Lucario, meta-knight and Rosie will be as rare as people think though. Megaman will end up rarer than sonic and I think sheik, toon link, and bowser will be fairly common. Ideally Nintendo who seems aware of the scalping situation will surprise us and make wave 3 much more available but who knows, maybe they all end up being super rare sans Bowser who better be common.

What are $12 Amiibos are £10 figures here and 12 for others, which equates to around $15 and $18 per Amiibo respectively.
(Just to put prices into perspective)

I actually have 2 of each, but am not planning on selling, but do wonder if the price is right now, or will be far into the future.
I never sell anything I have, I just like collecting these things, so having 2 of the amiibo's is just more of the "collection" rather than I can sell one and make some money back. And actually, I just opened my second Pit, so having two, if I decide to open one, I still have my closed one.
I put myself threw hell to get my Marth / Villager (crazy story told on this thread earlier), and I got one set as a Christmas present and they put themselves threw hell. So selling them would also devalue both those stories. I like having them so the stories make sense LOL.

.In retail musings news...my local Wal-Mart just cleaned up and restocked their amiibo wall for the first time since launch day! But being Wal-Mart, it's still just Wave 1 commons LOL
About 6-8 each of new Mario/Peach/Pikachu/Kirby/Yoshi. Just 1 new Link, and 2 new Samuses (this was the one thing I found mildly interesting, since she seems to be becoming hit or miss in some places).
Fox and Donkey Kong are MIA, as are the 3 obvious ones.
However, they did still leave a space open for those 5, and their labels are still there. It doesn't seem like they are under the impression that no more are coming, ever. I'm probably reading too much into that though, since the fact that Wal-Mart still doesn't seem to be aware of Wave 2's existence means they probably don't know anything about anything.
