It's not about the price. I liked the way the original picture of the figure looked, which is the reason I made the preorder. If I was shown the real deal, I wouldn't have bothered. Btw, I'm in the UK.

Evidently. I just called to make sure and they said they stopped yesterday. Of course I was going to reserve all the wave three figures today. Needless to say, I'm not happy.

well if you cancel, just letting you know the odds of ever getting ike again is pretty low. They arent taking anymore preorders for him on the gamestop website and seems to be in low production.

So, as a Canadian living in Alberta. I pretty much have no chance of getting Rosalina. 
I only collected a few characters; Samus, Marth, Zelda, Link so far. Will get Ike, Toon Link, Shiek, and Mega Man. No other interesting characters for me yet.

Thanks for posting. Those actually look pretty damn nice, outside it being a tight fit. But I'm surprised at how nice it looks. There is a larger version they have on Amazon, that I think fits closer to 30. Same design, just bigger width and depth wise.
I might pull the trigger on that, after seeing yours. I'm going to Michaels today though, to see if I can find a display case.

BTW, here is a better version I just made. I put black outlines around it, so it looks sharper and the edges look great against black/white GAF themes.

Same thing, just it has that extra outline that blends in anyways (you can't tell), but it doesn't have the fringe outline. If that makes sense.

B&H are taking backorders for all Wave 1 and 2 Amiibo's if anyone is interested. The estimated stock should be received the beginning of next month, hopefully sooner. But I don't have any experience with backordering so I'm wondering if I should bite or not.

Whoa, that's crazy. Like, they legit will get you those in Feb? It says back ordered, but that they expect to ship Feb 2nd. That would be insane if you could just casually get Marth and Villager on there.
Holy crap, would this include Marth & WFT? Those are the two rare ones that I want.

B&H is a legit site, I buy stuff from them on occasion. I just don't know too much about backordering.
This is pretty crazy if true. I'm thinking of ordering Villager and Marth right now. Worst case scenario, they never get them in Feb, and I get my money back. Best case scenario, I scored two rare ones at retail I can give out for free on here.

I just checked that site. It says I can add to my cart, but can't check out for another 5 hours. I never even heard of that store before, but they seem to be a small business out of New York. Has anyone ever dealt with them before? I might place an order for the trinity just for kicks, and if there are supply issues and the whole thing becomes a mess I will just cancel.

How much Amiibos would you guys like in a display case max?
Any ideas what to do with my extra amiibos? I have little mac, 3 Pits, Villager, wii fit trainer and Captain Falcon. I have a complete set of wave 1(JP Marth) and 2. I was thinking of holding on to them to trade for a rare later or a US Marth. I wouldn't mind selling them MSRP, but I want to make sure they go to people who actually want them and to NOT scalp them.

He got Sheik & Rosalina early as well, but I think Nintendo sent them to him.
Rosalina doesn't look like she has a "Target Exclusive" sticker on her. Generally speaking with things like the Skylanders, that's indicative to me that these are a TIMED exclusive, meaning someone like Rosalina will be readily available at all retailers at some point down the line.
Just pure speculation right now, and we'd need to see Lucario, Meta and Shulk's boxes too though. Shulk I would be led to believe that it'd remain a Gamestop exclusive..I think Xenoblade was in the first place right? But otherwise, my cautious optimism hopes that these retailer exclusives won't be a huge pain in the butt.
They're European Amiibos thanks to the numbering on the packages. Retailers exclusives only apply in the US.
Also, is there an updated version of the rarity chart? I remember seeing one in prior threads and wanted to check up on it.
These appear to be European amiibos (you can tell by the number at the top right corner instead of seeing 6+ there). I also heard Europe also don't have retailer exclusives either.
I think that's because he's from EU, where they don't have the retailer exclusives.

If we can use the CPSIA thing on Nintendo's website and try to place when things were produced, I think Pikachu was one of the last ones I remember seeing being produced with a production date of December. All the Wave 3 guys looked to have been printed in November, or at least the ones that were on there.

That's very awesome of you to do, especially since I don't have the funds to spend $30+ on a single amiibo & college starting up again so I gotta deal with money for parking & gas (thank goodness gas is around $1.90 instead of freakin' $3.50).
B&H observes the Jewish Shabbat, so they aren't "open" online until sundown in NYC. They're a very well-known photo/video store, but this still seems kind of crazy that they're offering amiibo. Sadly, I'll be out at a friend's going away party, so I don't know if I'll be able to grab a trinity set. It'd be nice to get a WFT and Villager to open.

Funny enough, the angle of your avatar, made it kind of hard for me to get the logo to line up in a way that didn't look weird (like from an angle point of view). Maybe I'm just tired. Well, if you don't like it, I can try to work on it tomorrow after I get up.

Ike does look stupid but what gets me the most is why his sword has that melted part at the end. Is that really necessary?
Edit: After looking at that giant pole in Captain Falcons leg, the blue stands for fox, the piss yellow block for Link ad the purple turd for Zelda, I shouldn't find myself surprised anymore. Bringing up the price is irrelevant.
