Just pre-ordered Boswer, Rosalina and Toon Link. Kinda surprised that you can get Rosalina no problem over here (Austria). Looked over on ebay, saw the prices for US listings and EU listings. Worlds apart.

That will bring me to 8 thus far. Now i wait for Mega Man to be available for pre-order.

Ugh. This makes me sad. Again, she's my fav character and I got into collecting too late. I have a feeling I'll be so fucked trying to get her.

THANKFULLY...I got all of Wave 3 pre-ordered on gamestop.com 2 days before they stopped taking orders. I however, set it to store pick up. I hope hope hope...it works, and I don't get fucked over. Couldn't take the stress of having to scramble for all of Wave 3, should game-stops pre-order fail. I hope since it was done through their site, they will be able to fill them at my store (I hope they actually send the units to the store based on pre-orders).

Keeping my fingers crossed.

But yeah, I'm totally stressed when it comes to the exclusives. I put an order on nin-nin-games or whatever for the 4 exclusives in the Japanese version. So maybe if I can't get any at the store, I will get the Japanese sent to me. Since I'm taking them out of the box, you wouldn't be able to tell.

You can only get her at one retail store chain in North America and the preorder situation has been an absolute shit-show for her thus far.

Sorry for worrying so much. I should relax heh. The good thing is, going forward, I'll know to pre-order when they open. I just came to collecting a little late. It was actually my gf who encouraged me. I was feeling sad just because of a lot of things going on with my cancer remission (emotional stuff). And so we went looking for Amiibos, and it really took my mind off things. And then I realized they were really cool. And then it all sort of snowballed from there.

Now I'm so happy collecting these. It's why I went out and got a nice display and lights. Can't wait to get them all.

But yeah, I'm probably over-worrying.

They never do these things in the UK. AFAIK I think Argos give you like a pound off if you buy two from them together, but that's about it. I'm surprised there's deals like that on amiibo already, given the demand for them and relative newness to the market. I'd imagine retailers don't need deals to get amiibo flying off shelves.

Just noticed this too. Wow, I really didn't expect them to stop listing them altogether, especially since Rosalina was still available to preorder earlier this morning.

Your preorder should hopefully still be honoured. You'll get an email soon, if you haven't already, saying this:

In terms of exclusives the only one I pre-ordered is Shulk. I do think I will drop by my local target though and see if I can pick up Rosie on launch day, She looks pretty nice based on the pics we've seen. I kinda also want to stop by BB too for metaknight, so I can complete the kirby set,anxious to see what his final model looks like. I don't really care too much about lucario right now.

Nope. I decided to only get Amiibo for characters I care about so I've skipped Wave 2 entirely and only have Meta Knight, DeDeDe and Toon Link on pre-order from Best Buy. Hopefully I can get Rosalina on launch day.

Got 6 pre-ordered...Bowser/Sheik/Ike/Mega Man/Sonic/Dedede. Those might be the only 6 I grab. I would definitely pick up any of the others if I happen to see them in a store, but not planning to go out of my way at all.

So I'll probably end up with a Toon Link as well . I was lucky in that none of the retailer-exclusive characters are must-haves for me. Gonna let other people go crazy over them.

I think he may be uncommon, but not rare. You can use him in the new Kirby game so that might make people who weren't interested before buy him to use in Rainbow Curse.

Only stalk Target; Rosalina is a Target exclusive. And rumor suggests a February 1st release date. Nothing is confirmed, however.

Impressions on my new amiibo that I picked up today: (making my collection stand at 8)

Zelda: she was the first amiibo back in November that I wanted. I made a tentative plan to only get the figures from the Zelda series (yeah, you know how that goes). She's a little shorter in person, but I like the detail in her dress. She has a much, much better face than Link. Her hands are awkwardly fat, though.

Captain Falcon: very cool! The action pose is very engaging. There is a lot of detail in him. My particular figure has an impeccable paint job. My girlfriend picked this particular one in the store, so kudos to her. Definitely one of the better amiibo so far.

Diddy Kong: decent. The model just doesn't really look like him. The eyes are off. Other than that, the pose is nice and the texture on the fur is well done. Not the best amiibo, but I had a desire to get him.

Samus: she is becoming harder to find. Had to pick her up now before I really regretted passing on a figure that was once common. She has a SLIGHT lean to the left, but it's not terrible. Awesome paint job on this one. I love the feel of her suit; it feels distinct. Also, her pose is probably my favorite.

I would say Captain Falcon and Samus are must haves and Diddy and Zelda are mid-card in terms of quality.

Falcon is one of my favorites too. The pose is so cool that I think it justifies the stand (and I really don't mind the clear stands anyway. Hate the colored ones). I originally got him only because I want to get all 12 of the original Smash 64 roster, but after seeing him I was really glad.
