Was there a Pit or Little Mac at TRU? I forgot TRU was suppose to release more Falcon and Pit at 1/15 today. Fortunately I already have them but Mac. How many were laying around?

Also while I'm at it, Happy Birthday Azula :D I actually like your new avatar because it fits your dilemma with Rosalina lol.

I've just finished calling every Toys-R-Us retailer here in the Vancouver area, and either they bluntly say they don't have a electronics section, or they just told me to fuck off. One of them actually hanged up on me when I had politely asked if they had any Amiibo figurines.

Thankfully, the store on West Broadway said that once they open all of their received stock by 3:00PM, she will go and put aside any rare/new ones for me. She totally understands where I was coming from, as it's insane that most of the European retailers don't have any issue with restocking the older Amiibo figurines, but it's a completely different story here in Canada. Hell, even the Yoshi Amiibo is starting to disappear. YOSHI!
 
My previously cancelled and then re-instated Falcon arrived from TRU last night. Good to finally have one.

I hope Wii Fit Trainer will be restocked along with the new promise of Marth shipments this year. They are my only current missing amiibos.
 
Oh man thank god for Nowinstock.com! I can see if i can pre-order or not from just that one site. Saves me a lot of time just searching the internet!
 
I think I've given up hope of finding Cpt. Falcon or Pit at reasonable prices. If anyone has extras, I'd be willing to trade my extra Captain Toad eshop code for them.
 
Out of interest, does anyone know what the situation is like with Amazon UK for Wave 3? I've got some ordered elsewhere, but Amazon was good for most of Waves 1/2 for me and they're most convenient. I saw the preorders vanish around Christmas for Wave 3 and all that's up now are update notification buttons - any idea if they'll be back up or if they're a bust for that wave now?

This was at the TRU near my work. There's a few Zelda's hidden, but that's about it.

I had this problem with Skylanders where I at one time had all of them, but then there was variants and constant reposes that didn't really do much for me, and I decided to drop all but what was mostly necessary and leave the rest for sales. This current game, I decided to fully drop everything else except for what I needed as there wasn't really anything that enticed me.

I think I'd like to get all the Smash amiibo, but then I'll also pick up Toad because of his usage.

For me, I'm getting amiibo based on my favorite characters and some based on the design. I'm only getting doubles of my favorites, but being a long term collector will determine on what they will do and how the amiibo will function will future games.

With all this said and done, I only see them as collectable figures and of they become essential to a good game, I'm not going to support it.
 
Called up my TRU, they never got Falcon or Pit. So sorry guys. I was going to drive by there while I'm out with my GF (she's driving). But we decided to call ahead of time. All they got was a restock of all the non-rare Amiibos. So Cal btw. SMH

I just heard the news that Target is closing in Canada. Maaaaan as if the Rosalina drought wasn't looking to be bad enough as it was. Still going to try and stay somewhat optimistic though since she is a Mario character. Also happy birthday Azula!

Still no update, sadly. We are all glued to our phones/computers etc waiting for pre-orders to go up. Still nothing.

Happy bday and I love your new avatar by the way. Made me laugh. Though it really does suck for you and all of us honestly how hard it is to get her amiibo.

That's why your original avatar was compressed and had artifacts. The first two avatars are zoomed out and small, because it's the only way to fit the entire dino in the avatar slot.

I made a more zoomed in one that you can see his face more, but it obviously had to crop out some of this body. Hope you like one of them!:

Agreed - I'm dying to get a D-Arts Charizard but I can't justify the $2-300 it goes for these days. X(
Many of the other figures that US retailers have stocked (some of the Figma characters, for example) have dipped as low as $40-50 each at times which I think is fairly reasonable considering how nice they are.



I haven't heard anything yet but I wouldn't rule it out! I have a feeling we might eventually see a Peach figure in the S.H. Figuarts line, if anything.

I've bought (at least) 2 of every amiibo released thus far and plan to do the same for upcoming waves if money isn't too tight.
I'm really curious to see if Nintendo will release amiibo figures of the alternate versions of Smash Bros. characters like the Male Wii Fit Trainer, Female Robin, Female Villager, Alph, Classic Wario, and all of the Koopalings.
The Koopalings probably have the best chance of the lot considering that they're actually different characters and are fairly popular with fans. A big box set with all 7 Koopalings & Bowser Jr would be pretty cool.

If they start pumping out amiibo figures for every Animal Crossing character or Pokemon, I don't think I'd be able to keep up. :S

Here's hoping my site (http://amiibros.com) becomes popular enough that Nintendo will start sending me new amiibo to review in the future! haha :D

I would directly contact nintendo PR it's what I did somehow I got accepted (amiibosmash) facebook page I get the majority of my info from gaf at the moment though lol
 
Amazon UK is basically a poor mans eBay. Don't bother.
It's funny because only yesterday was I tempted to buy a Wii Fit Trainer and then today she back in stock on Nintendo UK store.
