I had wave 1 ordered about 3ish months prior to release so... Take your guesses there I guess. Idk this is my first figure collection I wasnt interested in skylanders or disney infinity (if Studio Ghibli gets figures its Over for me ill own them all).

Yeah wave 3. Damn you would think if shelf space is clearing more would be coming sooner than later then again i went to a toys r us and they were full.
Yeah, supposedly Feb 1st is the date being kicked around. They have been particular about sticking to release dates at retail stores, and not just putting them up early. I dunno why. Amiibos are a fuckin mess when it comes to release (no consistency, no info, random pre-order times).
It's a mess.
Well then. Guess pre-orders could happen any day/hour then if you did Wave 1 3 months ahead. I hate how we aren't getting any heads up, or any info to prepare ourselves with. SMH
Honestly though as paranoid as we all are I think Wave 4 will be as plentiful as Wave 3 for preorders which took several days to run out and we're still seeing them pop up here and there. So in all im pretty sure we are safe but ill still hedge on early preorders to be "safe"
Yeah, I actually got my Wave 3 pre-order pretty late. All of them were plentiful, it was just the exclusives I got boned on.
Let's hope to god, Ness or any of them aren't exclusive. Because if they are, then random pre-order times will be a nightmare for those that miss out.
I agree but thats what we are all here for. And im still gonna get you a Rosalina lol. I have 5 targets 20mins apart from each other ill find them somewhere lol.

Games are a little different though. Something like Uncharted 4 is going to be produced and shipped in massive quantities, to the point that retailers don't have to worry about there not being enough copies to meet pre-order numbers. They'll just start taking pre-orders the moment it's known to exist because they know everything will probably be fine. With amiibos the numbers are not only much smaller, but also more finite. It's easy to pop out another run of 50,000 discs for a popular game. Plastic figures, not so much. Thus retailers have to wait to find out exactly how many units they'll be getting in their initial shipments from Nintendo so they can put the numbers into their systems; without those numbers they risk overselling.

No idea when I'll get TRU into the schedule. But I will try to hit up teach store in that order (since those are their opening times).
And maybe I'll get lucky and score an exclusive at each one. If so, I'll let you and everyone in this thread know. Still kind of....unclear about my Wave 3 pre-orders. I went on gamestop.com and pre-ordered all 11 of them or whatever (each one besides the exclusives). And I selected "pick up in store"....so I have to hope that on feb 1st, they actually honor that and have all of my stuff at the store I selected.
Gonna be an interesting day, that's for sure. Have a feeling I'll end up being like my Avatar on Feb 1st. LOL
I wont be in too much of a panic if my non-exclusive Wave 3 pre-orders aren't there on Feb 1st, and it takes a couple days for them to fill it. I don't think they will be as rare. AND I did get them pre-ordered. So they should honor them eventually. Really, the exclusives are all you really have to be on the look out for.
I think they put up Wave 4 pre-orders a couple hours ago? I know they were one of the retail outlets to put them up early (along with EB Games Australia).
Im in a very lucky position of having all 4 stores with exclusives within walking distance of each other(litterally i cab see the buildings and dont even have to cross the street lol) so i plan to eat breakfast at the ihop near there between target and BB opening TRU and GS open at the same time. But I think I might hit GS first. Idk ill keep asking about quantities as the date gets closer and try to make a judgement call that way.
I preordered all of Wave 4 from them yesterday but they didn't have Wario and on there twitter they said they would put him up today and its showing as sold out
I know. Gah. GAH. I feel glued to my computer/phone. I really badly want Ness and Lucina. So I don't want to miss out on these specific ones.

That sounds so chill. I wish it wasn't so stressful here. Where I live in So Cal, everything is far apart and on a highway. So each place is about 15 min from the next.
EDIT: read your post wrong. Ah, so GS and TRU are both 11 am. Yeah, I think GS is more of a priority. Shulk is going to be more sought out after over Lucario IMO.

Either EMS or SAL (small package one), depends on whether you want faster or cheaper..
EMS is for if you want it super fast (approx. 3days).
SAL Small Air Packet is for like a week.
SAL Small Air Packet is the cheaper option obvisiouly.

around 300g probably? anyway, when the item arrives they'll tell you the package weight so then you'll can decide which shipping option to use

That happened to me with Pit.
I opened chat support and argued for 30 minutes that they should let me order from a 3rd party reseller and refund the price difference between MSRP and the reseller's price. They refused but offered a 10$ credit to my account.
Then I asked for his supervisor. She refused but offered a 15$ credit. I said "oh well, not fair but better than nothing".
Then I realized the 15$ credit couldn't be used for 3rd party resellers. I opened another CS chat, and argued again for a while. The guy finally allowed me to place an order to a 3rd party reseller (50$) and amazon reimbursed the difference (36$) through another of pre-orders.
I stayed polite during the whole thing and calmly explained to each customer representative that they should honor the original deal through any means they could. It ended up working O_O.

It took a lot of effort and I figure a bit of luck, but it's at least worth trying. You'll most likely at least be able to get a small credit which should soften the blow.
I have a few other amiibo pre-ordered with them. I hope I won't have to go through this again.
Feb 1st can't come soon enough. Like so many other, I too have laid out my schedule. I'm so lucky that there's a Target, Best Buy and Gamestop all on the same street. TRU is gonna be the only one that'll be a little challenging to get to in time.
If all goes well, I'm hoping I can grab an extra or two exclusive(s) to give to some unlucky souls. I know the feeling... ;-;

They might have just closed pre-orders. Wario appeared and was immediatly unavailable.
I wonder what's going on. Ness was definitely avaliable as I had the opportunity to add him to my basket.
Wow :< I honestly thought about trying to collect a few Amiibo's but the fact they are seemingly so hard to get a hold of is really swaying my decision

First two waves I didn't pre-order and I did get them all at a store just by walking in (was in Europe)
But for the third en fourth wave in Europe, I'm not taking chances. Seeing and hearing it is a mess now, I pre-ordered them just to be sure. Just a shame I can't handpick amiibo's no more.

Finally tracked down a Rosalina on Amazon.de during a brief window of availability. Now only Wario to preorder, but I seem to have missed my chance on GAME :-/

Ugh this is so heartbreaking my I got my son smash wiiu for Christmas and he just found out about Amiibos.So far I have tracked down link,diddy,Samus,Falcon and Fox tru canceled my Falcon and Pit recently so still need Pit.Not to mention wiifit,Marth and Villiger but I can only afford to pay $20 tops so just looking at them through web browsing is where I'm at.
