Dude, Shulk is awesome! The Monado Arts give him so many tools to deal with just about any matchup. Check this match to see how Shulk is able to adapt his fighting style to the various situations within the same match. So good!
I got 1/30 for Meta Knight from Best Buy (Canada). I wonder if we'll get them two days early in Canada.

Australia and NZ EB Games only ship to Aus and NZ addresses respectively, but game.co.uk will ship to the US, as doowrah said.

I think it's part of Nintendo's design....when we release stuff buy it right away or you may not get the chance again. It really does instill the impulse buy "just in case" philosophy.

In other news, I noticed Best Buy updated their amiibo page a bit:
All of the Wave 1 & 2 amiibo figures are now in the 'Available Now' section and Wave 3 has been moved to the new 'Available in 2015' section.
No sign of Wave 4 or the Super Mario series yet, but I'm assuming they'll appear in that bottom section once they go live.

So my game plan was to preorder doubles of characters that meet the following conditions: Rare? Check. Character I love? Check. Can I afford it? NOPE.
If February 1st is real, I can't afford doubles for that day. The MH4 n3DS XL and MM LE along with bills will already break me. So now I'm cutting down and releasing my double preorders. Probably also gonna drop some of the preorders of commons as well...

I'll probably just head in around 10 AM or whenever I wake up since that's when GS opens. My Target is right across the street from my GameStop. Hopefully they'll have some spare Shulks when I pick up Sonic. Need to see if I can afford Mega Man &/or any extra Shulk or Rosalina amiibo as well. Probably will have to hold out on Mega Man for the time being until I get more funds.
With Club Nintendo coming to a close, I'm hoping that the Platinum Members (such as myself) will get custom made Amiibo of their Mii's (a la the Mii Fighters from SSB4), and it can unlock a skin/character of their Mii in upcoming Amiibo compatible games. Unrealistic, but that is a bit more reasonable than a giant statue of a Luma made out of platinum. (Fake gold for Gold-Tier Club Nintendo members.)

I was thinking about how they could make custom amiibos and I think a "Make your own amiibo kit" Would be great, the body is the same for all and can be easily painted. Bu then the body has an orifice to insert your choice 5 to 10 different plastic hairstyle to use, and a set of stickers for eyes, mouth, nose to choose from and paste on your amiibo.
Its done so you can just make it they way you want it in the easiest way possible.
The Gold/Platinum rewards are digital games again, sadly. Just hope the selection is a bit better, or at the very least, more games that I don't own.
Now if that was the reward for people who were Platinum all 7 years, that'd be awesome. I'm really hoping Nintendo does something to show appreciation to their most loyal members.
My GF is actually a big gamer and is the one that got me into collecting Amiibos. Either way horray for GFs helping out on our Amiibo hunt!

I wish there were a way to disable alerts for one item/location without removing it from your list. Seems like an opportunity for an enhancement to the site.

In the off chance I DO score both of these on the 1st, I'll just give them away free to someone else. But as of now, I don't have a pre-order for either. And I technically need 1 of each for my collection (I'm only collecting one of each, taking them out of the box and putting in my display).
