My GF is actually a big gamer and is the one that got me into collecting Amiibos. Either way horray for GFs helping out on our Amiibo hunt!
Your freaking lucky man! To my self I'm a walking paradox. I doubt that I'll ever find a GF that has the same level of love for both amiibo and video games. Sigh, but I dream that she's out there though.
My ex kinda sort support my love for video games and even got me a vita on Xmas but in the end it always ended up with "aren't you to old to play video games". Hated that statement every time I heard it.
Oops rant or whatever/ venting. Just seeing you guys have supportive GF made me kind of jealous.
Epic! I'll definitely keep you updated on the 1st, let you know my situation (if I was able to get one).
I'm sure if I end up being able to get one myself, someone on here will need it. But I'm willing to pay for it regardless (so you don't waste your money).

My honest take on it?
It's very rare that that the majority of the people you date, are going to have the exact same hobbies/tastes as you do. It's just not realistic. Dating as is, is all about putting yourself out there and hoping you hit it off with someone else. Whether that's physically, personality wise, or both.
When you start having limitations of what you must have in a partner, then you are limiting yourself severely from the dating pool. You are cutting down your odds substantially. IMO it's better to focus on meeting someone that is genuine, kind, and whatever personality trait you are looking for. Because, once you hit it off with someone, you can get them into your hobbies. One of the joys of dating someone that really cares about you, is that both you and your partner start to take interest in each other's hobbies. It's really awesome to introduce someone you care about, to the things you love.
I mean yeah, it's obviously really amazing when you meet someone that already has the same hobbies/passions as you. But out of all the people I've dated, it hasn't been common that it worked out that way.
Not saying you didn't know all of that. I guess I'm just kind of rambling and speaking out loud here.
EDIT: Actually, I've had a pretty bad record dating girls that are into the same hobbies as me (knock on wood). So far they have been neurotic, or had emotional issues. This is the first girl I've dated that is into the gaming forum stuff (super nerdy) who is doesn't have issues lol. Just luck of the draw I guess.
If I get either of these two on the 1st myself, then I'll have both of these guys give them to you instead.

That's also why statistically speaking there is roughly a 17,000/7billion chance of finding someone with your own interest and 99% chance those people live 1000+ miles from you, and a 45% chance they aren't in a 8 year age range of yourself and 28% chance they are married...
Love is HARD! to find... acceptance is the most general thing in the world and due to the lengthening of age as it has occured has created our over 50% divorce rate...
Numbers suck... but you on the bright side your odds of finding Rosalina in Target on the first are drastically higher these odds...

And not to be downer I absolutely know its possible I've seen it in action. But truthfully if your not looking for a relationship at least on a subconcious level you won't find it.

Yep. Basically, just try to put yourself out there. Rejection sucks, but the more you put yourself out there, the easier it is to move on and try again (also the more you increase your chances of actually meeting someone).. Just focus on trying to find a really good person. Then you can kind of work on the other stuff later.
And like I said, if you are dating someone that is really great, then you can introduce them to your hobbies if they weren't already into it. That said, there is nothing wrong with trying to meet someone that is into the things you are. It can be a perfect jumping off point when meeting someone.
But I just personally think you don't want to be too limiting and focusing only trying to meet someone that has the same hobbies. Just my thoughts on it.
EDIT: Shhh. You won't be forever alone. C'mon son.

In the chance that I can't get Meta Knight on the day of his release, would anyone be interested with trading one for my Mega Man Amiibo that I have on reserve at EB Games? As much as I'm a fan of the series (*Points to Username*), I'm also worried that I'll miss out on snagging a Meta Knight Amiibo.

I am young compartively 26. Anywho as much I'd love to derail this thread about this topic as I find it quite fascinating. I'll go back to figuring out stats on amiibo.
But oh to all thinking I'm upset about this you completely miss understand lol. I've had multiple opportunities to be in a relationship with girls I really liked but by MY choice I did not purse them. I have big BIG plans after I graduate in May and I don't want to force my dreams and ambitions down someones throat till I accomplish some more of them. Its a personal choice and one I'm quite satisfied with at the moment

Well third shifts where one of the reasons I had heart problems and was admitted to the hospital, I like to avoid all nighters if necessary.
Luckily I have EV training in my Alpha Sapphire to keep me distracted -is entering the Hoenn competition-
I'd like to meet that special someone some day, but I don't really fret over it. Like... If you let it get you down you're basically relegating yourself to having no happiness. Because goodness knows they don't typically exist. (Like Azula said, it's more about making each other rather than finding)

It just dawned on me that no Smash character is sad. They're all ecstatic or neutral. Lucario is probably the saddest looking, and that's more of a "Deep in thought" deal.

So I come off as a rough person to begin with and my hobbies and my past tend to scare everyone around me. So trying to find a person that can deal with all that and accept it has proven a rather large challenge in it self.

I'm right there with you on how social norms are bullshit. I'm basing this as an observations of my surroundings. I feel as though I'm out of place. And thanks to years of training I react differently in normal situations (some PTSD as well) Which only highlights where I contrast to the norms and ethics around myself.

It's actually a lot harder when you're skinny (weak skinny; no clear muscle or fat) and play games. Or so it seems. Social stereotypes have people distancing themselves from you at first sight. Tack on anything else like anime, manga, and strange tastes in music and you become a rather difficult person to approach. At least the muscles gain you some positives from first sight heh.

I never got an email either. I logged into the site, and my order just says WEB / ON ORDER. Each figure obviously says Back-ordered. But the order itself just says ON ORDER.
