I am young compartively 26. Anywho as much I'd love to derail this thread about this topic as I find it quite fascinating. I'll go back to figuring out stats on amiibo.
But oh to all thinking I'm upset about this you completely miss understand lol. I've had multiple opportunities to be in a relationship with girls I really liked but by MY choice I did not purse them. I have big BIG plans after I graduate in May and I don't want to force my dreams and ambitions down someones throat till I accomplish some more of them. Its a personal choice and one I'm quite satisfied with at the moment

I was in many relationships when I was younger then I just kept getting hurt or things wouldn't work out and I figured I'd be forever alone. I was going to college finished up got my current job and kept thinking nothing was going to happen then bam started talking to my high school girlfriends best friend ( who were not friends when we rekindled) and now my fifth year anniversary is in march and I got two beautiful boys. All I'm trying to say is I didn't look for it and I always thought I'd forever be alone and blam now I am the exact opposite that alone time is hard to come by. So is there currently any upcoming wave 3 or 4 amiibo that might be difficult to import?
Ever since I imported Pit successfully (actually found an American one in store right after, too) I've been a lot less stressed about all this because I assume I can just buy from France or Japan.

To be fair, I got into collecting late. Literally, just got into this 2 and half weeks ago. So I had to really scramble and search hard to get the rarer ones. What really fucked me, was I wasn't in time for the exclusive Wave 3 stuff.
And even the normal Wave 3 stuff, I didn't properly pre-order (I ordered them all on gamestop.com then set them for in store pickup). So I'm going into Wave 3 basically...not having anything secured. Also, every single site I used to order, ended up being the wrong site (orders getting canceled, pre-orders being delayed).
Seems like everyone has their Wave 3 shit being shipped already and I don't have a clue what I'm going to do. I totally fucked this up.
Rosalina was the one that was causing me stress, because she's my fav character. I was lucky that a community member got their Rosalina's shipped from EU early and had an extra. So she should be here tomorrow (OMG so excited).
Outside of that, fuck. Watch Wave 4 pre-orders go up the ONE day I'm not online, and that shit sells out in 5 min. Wah wah wah. I've never had so much trouble trying to buy shit in my entire life.

Have any Wave 4 or the Super Mario line of Amiibo gone up for pre-order in US yet? From Wave 3 I have Ike, Sonic, Mega Man, and Shulk on order.
I was going to hit Target Feb. 1 for Rosalina, but the Mario Party 10 trailer for Wii U and Amiibo Mode showed a Rosalina figure, I think. May wait for that to release.

Only in NZ/Aus and GAMES UK and a couple other regions. We still have no info on Wave 4 pre-orders in NA.

Hey, at least you got your favorite character! Where are you located, if I may ask? I believe Wave 3 figurines won't be THAT hard to track down at your local walmart, target, or TRU in store if you live nearby one. UNLESS you live in a major city, the search shouldn't be too crazy.

I live about 1 hour and 45 min out of LA. About 2 hours out from San Diego. So it's definitely smaller cities compared to the major ones. And yeah, I think I'm worrying too much about it. I don't think it will be as hard as I think to get Amiibos on the 1st. Well shit, I hope.
I'm done being stressed though now. I can just laugh it off. Honestly, while collecting Amiibos makes me happy and takes my mind off my cancer stuff. I have a lot of fun just talking to you guys and hanging out here. That to me, is really the main reason I collect.

Ah, like Riverside? I'm currently in the IE. If you're around that area then you should be okay! If you're able to swing by your local stores around the morning you should be fine because the majority of scalpers usually reside in major citites/other states. Believe it or not but these things usually disappear after two days or so after they're released on the floor according to a friend of mine who works at Target. Fingers crossed for you though dude.
I already pre ordered Megaman and Shulk but i'm looking to grab 2 Lucinas and a Robin then call it a day with Amiibos. lol
Yes! I actually am near the IE. I'm about 40 min from Riverside though. Heading more towards Coachella/Palm Springs direction. Inb4 you live next door to me.

Ha imagine (I'm near Redlands so i'm still a bit ways out from you lol). You're all the way out there though? Yeah dude, you should be okay. lol I would assume the cities out there in the desert have a minority of gamers really looking to scalp for amiibos so I think heading out to the stores in the morning will ensure you get what you're looking for. You might have to even ask an employee to bring it out.

So, I have my Wave 3 amiibos pre-ordered at Gamestop (minus the exclusives of course!). I've actually never pre-ordered anything there before this, so I'm wondering:
Does Gamestop call/text you when your pre-order stuff comes into the store, or is it on you to call or stop in and check every day? I know they only hold them for 48 hours after getting them in.

They'll call you through a generic automated phone call.
I don't know about online pre orders, but if you pre-order something in-store you will get a text notification and an automated call reminding you when release is set.
I'll take him if he's still available? He's sold out everywhere round my area. (Sounds rude)

I ordered online, and selected my store to pick it up in. Going to just print my order up, line up 1 hour before the store opens. AND HOPE they have enough to fill my order. I assume that, those that ordered in store will take precedent over me, since they put down actual money.
The online pre-order pick up in store shit, seems like a gimmick. I really feel like I'll get screwed on the 1stt.

Yeah, who knows. When I went to check out online, I meant to select SHIP to my house. But I accidentally did SHIP to store. I figured they would charge me for it, but they didn't. But that actually worries me. It feels like the whole "pick up in store" gimmick, isn't a real pre-order.

GameStop have been pretty good with Ship to Store with games. Of course, amiibo is amiibo, but at least there's a precedent for it to work.
Also, I really need to find space for Wave 3, loool.

Maybe give costumer call a try to see if they can ship to you? Actually I have to do the same thing, since I am moving, and I have to ask them to change the shipping address, but part of me is paranoid that any change to the order may make it not arrive or anything, normally wouldn't worry about it, but amiibos's are hard to get here, debating just picking it up at my old address..
